We’ll be meeting at Stags at 8, and taking our usual route throughout the night!

We’ll be selling white t-shirts in the physics building from 1-3 tomorrow if you’d like one, £3.50 each!

As part of the Spring Careers Fairs and Events programme, the department are running a physics event called ‘What Can I do with my Physics Degree’! Employers and alumni who themselves did a physics degree will be discussing the different opportunities and career options available to those taking a physics degree. This event will only be open to those studying physics, and students are free to ask questions or just listen to questions from others if they prefer. Refreshments will be provided!

Hello all, we hope your exams went well! Come along to our first event back: the Wrong Events Pub Crawl! 🍻

Turn up as though you dressed for a different event, for example, dress smart like you’re going to a meeting, dress like you’re going to school or dress like you’re going to a sports event! 🥼🦺👗

We’ll be starting at Stags at 8pm on the 5th of Feb and making our way through the usual route, posting on our story whenever we leave a stop!

Celebrate the start of the new term by joining us for a guest lecture by our head of programs, Dr Andrew Akeroyd. He will be discussing the search for Higgs Bosons at the Large Hadron Collider.

What is QUIRK+?

Essentially, it’s a day of talks by students, for an audience of students, organised by students.

Ever wanted to learn about black holes? Philosophy of physics? The physics of coffee?! You can learn about all of that, and much, much more. Lunch is also provided for free!

This year we’ve expanded to Surrey, Southampton, Bath, Oxford and Cambridge, as well as EPFL and TUM. We’ve even spread it to two days, due to sheer popularity. There’s more information on the links. Hope to see you there!
