Submissions are open for the World Congress of Science & Factual Producers - WCSFP Buzzies Awards across 15 categories including BEST MULTI-PLATFORM FACTUAL PROJECT, honouring a science, history, or natural history project that is designed specifically to be experienced on two or more platforms, i.e. linear, digital, social media, VR, gaming, or other.

This year's WCSFP will take place in Marrakech, Morocco from 9-12 December 2024. Buzzies Awards winners will be honoured at a ceremony during the Congress, and will receive a statue and free registration to Congress '25.

Submissions are open until 19 Sept at 5pm CEST.

Crossover Labs is an arts organisation specialising in digital, immersive and interactive entertainment and we are seeking a Tour Production Assistant (temp. contract) to help us deliver a 11-city tour of an award-winning immersive experience across England from 15th July-10th September 2024.

At Crossover Labs, we're dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusivity. Our recruitment process is open to all. We are actively seeking applications from individuals from underrepresented backgrounds in the arts sector, particularly those from Black and minority ethic groups and working class backgrounds.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in exhibition and touring as part of a team that is at the forefront of immersive art in the UK.

Pay: £14 per hour (full breakdown of hours on our website)
Location: Travel required throughout
Closing date: Midday 5th June 2024

Responsibilities:
- Drive between venues in England, installing and de-rigging an immersive installation.
- Coordinate with venues and local partners for smooth operations and outreach.
- Staff the installation, troubleshoot technical issues, and collect audience feedback.
- Assist in filming of the tour for stakeholders and wider industry.

Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence and availability for the entire tour.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Great attention to detail.
- Comfortable using social media platforms.

NOTE: A driving licence is required to be considered for this role. The tour has not been publicly announced yet so exact details cannot be provided here.

Tonight, 6 October 2023 as part of Friday Lates: Machine Mythologies at the Science Gallery London at 8pm.

The 60 minute performance will be followed by a Q&A with Science Gallery London Director Siddharth Khajuria, and is accompanied by a display of behind-the-scenes material from the project.

Looking at the use of archives in the future of AI based filmmaking, the performance will be followed by a Q&A with Murthovic & Thiruda chaired by Simon McCallum, Archive Projects Curator at the BFI.
