Any students interested in mentoring? We are currently looking for volunteers on our project Empower at Southampton Hub. This is a 6-week based project, where one day a week for 30-45minutes you meet with a year 9 student in a local school and be their mentor. You will help to promote confidence, emotional and mental well-being, motivation, self-esteem and more! This project helps to fill a gap schools face with not being able to provide this kind of support to students. This is a fun and fulfilling opportunity and can make a real impact in these students lives! (it also looks great on your CV!). At University it is easy to lose sight of the end goal. This is why we felt it was important to host an event centered on careers, aims, and ambition.
On the 23rd February, we will be hosting our first-panel event which will consists of special guest speakers from a variety of fields - including business, property, media, and politics.
Our guest will be giving you first-hand insight into how they have become successful in their craft and how you too can strive for excellence.
