'Learn and succeed together for the journey ahead' is what you will hear our children say and do Both schools are two form entry currently.

Wildground Federation has a teacher led Nursery, Infant and Junior School for children from two to eleven years of age. In the infants there is a Resourced Provision for pre-school children with speech, language and communication needs. Based in the junior school, but for children across both, there is a further Resourced Provision for children with social, emotional and mental health needs. Planet Kids provide wrap around child care before and after school and is based in the infant school.

This afternoon some children from Y5 and Y6 represented Wildground in an athletics competition with other schools in Southampton. All the children demonstrated superb team work and were exceptional in their attitude towards other teams. We are yet to know the overall outcome, but know there is some incredible talent in Y5 and Y6 with some notable placements today in some of the races. Well done!

Thank you to the parents and carers who last week came along to a class assembly for White Rhinos and today to those who came to see the Lemurs. It is a big ask performing in front of others and whatever their level of participation, we are sure you are proud of your child.

Today you will have received a letter about Sports Morning next Wednesday, 24th June, for children in YR to Y6, with Nursery having their own event in family groups later in July.

The weather forecast is currently looking favourable so fingers crossed it stays that way. On the day children will need to have sunscreen applied before school, have a named water bottle and wear a hat. The event is taking place in the morning to minimise being out at the hottest part of the day. There are planned rest breaks as always and water is available. Children’s safety and wellbeing will always be our priority. We would suggest any parent, carer or family member comes as prepared as the children. Hopefully we will all have a memorable and enjoyable morning.

Thank you to the PTFA team who organised and led the Father’s Day Wrap Room this morning. We hope all the gifts selected today made their way home safely. We are grateful to the PTFA and their efforts and for those purchasing gifts to help raise funds for school.

A staff member is looking for a magazine rack or holder for the classroom. If you have one looking for a new home, then please let us know. Thank you.

This Thursday after school we hope you can spare some time, and money, to join Y6 out on the front field. Each child in Y6 has been given £5 to invest and grow with all profits going back to Y6 to help fund their visit to the Tower of London later this month. So as you head home on Thursday, please pop to see Y6 even if it is just to offer words of encouragement.

Just a loud shout out for the PTFA Summer Fayre which is now less than two weeks away on Friday 26th June straight after school.

Please consider the PTFA if you have any of the following at home that you are needing to find a new home for:
* raffle prizes
* bottles of any kind from bubble bath to spirits and squash to wine
* soft toys
* garden plants
* quality bric-a-brac

If you have a craft or a hobby and would like a stall, please get in touch.

Remember that there will be a cake competition too so please get thinking!

Watch out for raffle tickets coming home too. The PTFA continue to seek raffles prizes and there are some amazing donations again this year.

It would be great if any family member can give any time on the day, or leading up to the day, to help. Organising an event take a lot of work and the PTFA team are small; it would be easier with more people helping.

Next Sunday is Father’s Day when children get the chance to say thank you to the person they recognise as Dad. The PTFA are holding their annual Father’s Day Wrap Room this Wednesday and we hope that you have been able to support where possible to order gifts using the link and an online payment or cash and a payment slip in the office. This small team work incredibly hard to put together these events, so please support where you can:

* order a gift
* donate a gift
* offer to help with any last minute wrapping by giving 1 hour of your time
* come in and support on the day even if it is ‘just’ for an hour

Thank you for supporting!

If you are interested in an immensely rewarding role with great children and a supportive staff team, then we would love to hear from you so get in touch - but be quick!

On Wednesday 17th June it is the PTFA Father's Day Wrap Room. (It will be available all week for children in Nursery and Owls.) If you would like your child to purchase a gift for the person they know as 'Dad' then either follow the link on the PTFA letter to order and pay or come into the Federation and complete a slip. There is also an option to donate a gift if you have the means to do so.

We ask that you support where you can as the PTFA have been working hard behind the scenes to plan, shop, distribute and wrap all the gifts. If anyone is able to help on the day, even if it is 'just' for an hour, the PTFA would welcome your support.
