Since January 2024, City Eye has been working with sculptor and artist Amy Goodman to document the creation of two bronze statues of Queen Elizabeth II by Test Valley Borough Council. The first of these sculptures was unveiled in Andover in 2024 and depicts the Queen in her later years.

On Friday 4th September 2026, the second sculpture, presenting the young Queen was unveiled in Romsey and we were excited to return and capture this special moment.

A shorter cut of our film “The Sister Queens” is currently available to enjoy as part of an exhibition at Romsey Abbey alongside Amy’s work. It showcases her talent and dedication, the many people, supporters and contributors involved in the making of these pieces.

It has been an incredible collaboration. We are very proud of what has been achieved and grateful to our colleagues for their work since we began. The full length film is expected to be completed in the coming weeks with a screening to follow.

The photos here were captured on Sept 4th at the unveiling.
