We’re officially GCSA certified!
We’re proud to share that we at the Memory Assessment & Research Centre (MARC), part of the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, have successfully achieved GCSA Site Certification – the Global Quality Standard for Clinical Research Sites – awarded by the International Accrediting Organisation for Clinical Research (IAOCR).
This prestigious, internationally recognised, and industry-endorsed certification reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality, ethical, and participant-focused research. The GCSA assessment team commended our strong research infrastructure, collaborative culture, and dedication to continuous improvement.
🗨️ Suzanne Dodge, Research Manager at MARC, shares:
“The team at MARC are absolutely delighted to have achieved our GCSA certification. As an experienced research team, our department has evolved over the years. It is lovely to have an external organisation give objective feedback that is so constructive and brings confidence to the team in the way that we are working. The certification process allowed us to showcase the exciting dementia research we are so proud to be involved in. This accreditation is fantastic recognition not only for MARC, but also more widely for The Academy of Research and Improvement, and the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Most of all, credit must go to our amazing volunteers - without whom there would be no research. We are hugely grateful.”
