Good evening,

What a fantastic start to our end of year Races, 🏃🏼‍♀️ 🏃🏻‍♂️ the year R’s showed resilience and desire in front of parents and yr 6s.

Wednesday: Yr 1 and 4 races
Thursday: Yr 3 and 5 races
Friday: Yr 2 and 6 races

The Ullswater gate will open at 2:15pm.

Please note that pupils will not be allowed to run if they are not wearing appropriate footwear. Also as hooped earrings are against school policy, children can not run if they are wearing them. Thank you for your support with this.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

Dear Families,

Following the latest update from the UK Health Security Agency, the Red Heat-Health Alert for the South East has now been extended until 11.00pm on Friday. In light of this updated guidance, and with temperatures forecast to remain exceptionally high, the school will also be closed on Friday.

The school will reopen as normal on Monday.

We appreciate that this may cause inconvenience for families. However, the safety and wellbeing of our children and staff must remain our priority during this period of extreme heat.

Please be aware ‘After school clubs’ are still running this week, however they will be adapted and activity levels will be managed to keep all pupils safe during the warm weather.

Please remember ALL PUPILS must have a refillable bottle in school.

HOT WEATHER 🌞 🥵

Due to the hot weather forecast this week, children can wear PE kits to school every day.

Please ensure T Shirts are white or pale blue with no logos or slogans. Please apply sun cream before school and send children with hats and water bottles.

We will be using shady areas if outside.

Just a reminder we have school photos 📸 on Monday 15th June, all pupils need to be in uniform with a school jumper or cardigan 😃

Pupils will still have PE, so please wear trainers so they can still be active in their lessons.

Please find attached information regarding some exciting Girls Only Basketball Sessions being delivered by the Solent Kestrels.

These sessions are aimed at girls aged 10–13 and provide a fantastic opportunity for young people to get involved in basketball in a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment.

🕕 Wednesdays 6:00pm–7:00pm

The sessions are perfect for girls who are:
Completely new to basketball
- Looking to build confidence in sport
- Wanting to try something new with friends
- Already playing and wanting extra opportunities to develop
