National recognition for St George!
We are thrilled to have been awarded a Pearson National Teaching Award — Silver, one of the most prestigious honours in education.
This achievement reflects the dedication and commitment of our staff, the success and character of our students, and the support of our families, governors and wider school community.
We are incredibly proud of this recognition and grateful to everyone who contributes to making St George such a special place to learn, grow and thrive.

Well done to our amazing staff who ran Wildwood 10K to raise money for Mind.
The run was challenging, with some very steep inclines and uneven terrain, but they were blessed with good weather and all finished in excellent times.
If you would like to donate to further support our runners please do so via the following link:

Year 10 Design & Technology Students have been working extremely hard to create some breast cancer recovery cushions which will be donated to the Princess Anne Hospital. These post-surgery cushions are designed for comfort and protection immediately after surgery. The heart shape and soft fabric sits under your arm, ideal for use after a mastectomy or lumpectomy.
They are also great to support sleeping in the hospital. Mostly though, they spread kindness and love through the act of service and giving to others.
We are imensely proud of our year 10 students who really took great pride in making these to donate to such a fantastic cause.

Earlier this term, some of our student leadership were lucky enough to visit the Houses of Parliament for a tour. They learnt about the history and workings of the Houses of Commons and Lords and hopefully felt inspired to what is needed to lead the country!
