When you’re gardening this Spring, please remember that accidental poisoning can happen in an instant, even if you’re there but have been distracted momentarily.
So, keep garden chemicals such as w**d killer out of reach of young children. And, always keep them in their original containers. Don’t be tempted to transfer them to food jars or drinks bottles.
Plus, look for products that contain a bittering agent, such as Bitrex that put children off swallowing harmful things.

This is a judgement free zone, even though I'm 49, I've had a computer in my home since 1981, I have adhd and use screens to help me regulate, but the content I had access too and the fast paced content available now are worlds apart. I think screens can a fabulous tool, but I also know I can loose an hour of time by doom scrolling.
Even if the Gov guidance encourages families to do more screen time together, then it's a win

New government guidance also suggests children under-two should not be watching screens alone.

Now that Spring is here lots of us will be spending more time outside.
If you’re lucky enough to have a garden, or your child plays in the garden of family or friends, please remember to:
🍃 Keep chemicals like w**d killer and fertiliser away from curious youngsters
🍃 Lock garden tools away somewhere safe
🍃 Be alert to ponds and pools: Small children can drown in very little water

The tools are down and the workshop is quiet.
Thank you for supporting The Little Coach House and allowing our handmade pieces to be part of so many children’s learning journeys over the years. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has bought from us, shared our work, or recommended us along the way.
Sadly, the last couple of years have been really tough for small businesses, and it’s no longer financially viable for us to continue.
We still have some remaining stock, and we would love to see these pieces being used in homes, nurseries, schools and churches rather than sitting in our shed.
If you’ve ever thought about buying one of our resources, now would be the time. You can browse what’s left on our website and use the code SALE15 for 15% off until midnight on Sunday 8th March.
I’ll also be sharing some extra offers over the next couple of days, so do keep an eye out. Once these pieces have gone, that really will be the end.
If you already have one of our resources, we’d love to see it in use, feel free to share a photo and tag us in. It would mean a lot to us. ❤️
And do help us spread the word....
Thank you, Jane and Alan # # #

A gentle reminder to School Professionals, Youth Group Teams and anyone else working with children and young people, to consider those who have been bereaved when planning any Mother’s Day activities.
If you work in a school it might be natural to add a Mother’s Day activity to your lessons or assemblies, but it will be a highly sensitive topic for bereaved children and young people. Be considerate, speak to them and their family and don't immediately exclude them from these activities. It might be that it's too much to engage this year, but equally they may want to join in and use it as a chance to recall happy memories.
