Introducing Ryan Price, Level 3 Digital Marketer at Totton College. ​

Ryan started his apprenticeship in October so it's all still fairly new, but he has quickly become part of the team: ​

Why did he opt for an apprenticeship? Simple: traditional university wasn't his style. Ryan is all about hands-on learning, earning qualifications and getting paid while at it.​

His career goals? To dive deep into social media management/marketing. With a passion for social platforms, turning it into a profession is a no-brainer.​

What's been the highlight of Ryan's apprenticeship journey so far? Collaborating with colleagues, networking and representing Totton College across various platforms and events.​

His advice for potential apprentices? If you prefer practical learning over lectures and want to earn while you learn, apprenticeships are the way to go.​

Meet Harvey Child, a Level 3 Business Administration Apprentice at Totton College, who found out on Monday, that he achieved Distinction in his end point assessment.​

Harvey opted for an apprenticeship, securing a Level 3 Business Administrator position at Totton College. This provided him with valuable experience without the worry of long-term financial burdens.​

Looking ahead, Harvey sees himself in a collaborative environment post-apprenticeship, where he can continue to grow professionally and positively impact others' lives, whether through support services or creative endeavours like television production.​

Harvey values the support and warm welcome he's received during his placement within the Totton College reception team. Being seamlessly integrated into the team using his IT skills, problem-solving skills, and communicating with staff, the public, and students, has allowed him to forge meaningful connections and enjoy the learning journey.​

His advice for aspiring apprentices? "Take a closer look! The variety of placements across different industries offers an enriching experience that not only boosts your confidence in your role but also helps you grow personally."​

Harvey appreciates the unwavering support from colleagues, managers and tutors at Totton College. Their encouragement and assistance have been crucial to his progress and development.​
