This week, we’re introducing you to three of our fantastic room managers at Play Away West End! 💙

1.What is your role at the nursery, and how long have you been part of the Play Away team?
I am one of the baby room leaders and have been part of Play Away working in the baby room for 2 years having started as a Level 3 practitioner
2.What do you enjoy most about working with children? 🧸
I love that I get to build close relationships with the children as well as form relationships with parents. I also love helping babies to achieve their milestones and seeing how much babies grow and develop from when they first start with us and seeing the big smiles and excitement on their faces when doing so!
3.What is your favourite activity to do with the children? 🎨
My favourite activity to do with children is reading books and singing lots of nursery rhymes as the babies in our room show lots of enthusiasm and excitement when singing!
4.What is your favourite nursery song, and can you do all the actions? 🎶😂
My favourite nursery rhyme is Wheels on the Bus and of course I do, I do them all day everyday😂
5.If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? 🍕🍫
Hmm, it would have to be a roast dinner esp with crispy roast potatoes😋
6.What is one fun fact about you that parents might be surprised to know? 👀
I used to have a small at home baking business and was able to make some money as I started baking for fun for friends and family until I started getting some customers!🍰
7.What is your favourite thing to do when you’re not at nursery? 🌟
One of my favourite things to do when I’m not at nursery is bake lots of yummy treats😋 as well as spending time with my family
8.Tell us a little bit about your family – who makes up your family and what do you enjoy doing together? ❤️👨👩👧👦
I am one of 4 siblings and have recently become a first time auntie to my little nephew🥰
I married my husband, Rif, 3 years ago and we are currently expecting our 1st child together👶🏽. Me and my husband both enjoy going on holidays together and travelling abroad, eating out and watching movies/shows

1.What is your role at the nursery, and how long have you been part of the Play Away team?
I've been with Play Away since January 2013 and I'm currently one of the Room Managers in Pre-School.
2.What do you enjoy most about working with children? 🧸
I love watching the children grow and develop, discover new things, and seeing their individual personalities shine through 💓
3.What is your favourite activity to do with the children? 🎨
I love sharing stories with the children and seeing their faces light up as they become completely absorbed in the story.
4.What is your favourite nursery song, and can you do all the actions? 🎶😂
'I had a little turtle' 🐢💚
5.If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? 🍕🍫
Mac & cheese is my absolute favourite - even better with crispy bacon bits and garlic bread!
6.What is one fun fact about you that parents might be surprised to know? 👀
During both of my pregnancies, my biggest craving was sausage rolls! And clearly, the love for them has been passed down — both of my children are completely obsessed with sausage rolls and would happily eat them all day, every day if they could! 🤣
7.What is your favourite thing to do when you’re not at nursery? 🌟
Usually just chilling at home, otherwise I’m out spending money I probably don’t need to spend at B&M and other random places! 😂
8.Tell us a little bit about your family – who makes up your family and what do you enjoy doing together? ❤️👨👩👧👦
I live with my other half Darren, our two young children, Noah and Darcie and our cat Bertie 🐾
We love to go off on adventures at the weekend and explore new places but also enjoy a chilled day at home, snuggled up watching movies with tea and biscuits!

Preschool room leader and I’ve worked at Playaway for 6 and half years
2.What do you enjoy most about working with children? 🧸
Watching them grow and develop and learn the skills needed for when they leave us for school.
3.What is your favourite activity to do with the children? 🎨
I love making obstacle courses with the children and joining in with them and getting other staff members to join in also, the children enjoy laughing at us trying to squeeze through the chalk board 😂
4.What is your favourite nursery song, and can you do all the actions? 🎶😂
I enjoy singing sleeping bunnies or sleeping lions which is the preschool children’s favourite and yes I know the actions
5.If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? 🍕🍫
Pasta is one food I couldn’t live without!
6.What is one fun fact about you that parents might be surprised to know? 👀
One fact I don’t think many parents know is that I’ve worked in all 4 rooms during my time at Playaway, I started my journey off as an apprentice in waddlers and then moved to babies after qualifying and was then offered a promotion to become room leader in our toddler room before finally joining the preschool room as room leader.
7.What is your favourite thing to do when you’re not at nursery?
When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my family and going holiday with them and socialising with my close friends

My family consists of my husband myself and our children
