Year 3 had Roman Day today and lots of children came dressed in fabulous costumes. Throughout the day, the children had lots of different activities to develop their knowledge of the Romans. They made laurels, mosaics, shields, participated in army formations and used the Roman alphabet to crack a coded message. A brilliant day!

Year 3 had an amazing trip to the Roman Baths last week. The children participated in a workshop and then had a tour of the Baths. The children learnt so much about the Romans and showed fantastic behaviour throughout the trip.

Corn Class enjoyed a trip to the SeaCity Museum on Monday. They applied their history knowledge and joined in with a range of interesting activities! 🚢 📝

We are really excited to let you know that we have the Scholastic Book Fair coming into school soon.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be running on Tuesday, 12th May and Thursday, 14th May from 3.20 - 3.45 pm.

Weather permitting we will hold the book fair either on the main playground behind the school (near the MUGA) or in the library (we will confirm the location closer to the time).

Every book you purchase at the fair can help our school get free books.

Please remember that we are now a cash free school, so we will only be able to accept your card payments. Scholastic will provide us with a card reader machine to process both debit and credit card payments.

Year 5 had an out-of-this-world experience at Wi******er Science Centre as part of their Earth & Space topic! 🚀✨ From exploring the wonders of the universe to hands-on science fun, it was a day full of discovery and excitement. 🌍🔭

As well our dancers, we also wanted to give a massive shout out to our wonderful Dance Live technical team made up of students Phoebe and Preston! These two worked SO hard on coming up with the lighting and perfecting it. They also helped with the journey video, voice overs, props and green screen. It’s often forgotten that students do the technical side of Dance Live as well but they did such a professional job of it! Super proud of you both ✨✨✨

Dance Live Finals 🏆
Our amazing Dance Live Team danced their socks off again last night. Despite no placing on the night, we are super proud of their performance and especially proud of the characterisation they bought to the stage that we worked so hard on for the last few weeks! Well done Team Wellstead!
