Year 2 stepped back in time this week to explore Southampton through the ages, with a particular focus on the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings.
During their visit to Tudor House, the children listened to fascinating historical stories and had the exciting opportunity to handle genuine artefacts from Saxon times, bringing history to life right before their eyes. They learned about what people wore in the past and even had the chance to dress up in period clothing themselves!
The visit provided a fantastic opportunity to make classroom learning real, helping the children develop a deeper understanding of the people and events that shaped Southampton's history.
What a brilliant day of hands-on learning and historical discovery! π‘οΈβοΈποΈ
