Some of our Performing Arts Selection students took part in their first workshop as part of our Performing Arts Mentoring Programme.

They worked alongside some of the Lead characters from our upcoming production of Grease, developing their script skills, creating their own radio jingles and taking part in fun team-working games.

A fantastic opportunity to learn, collaborate and build confidence through Performing Arts! 🌟

Our Year 7 students have been busy in the kitchen, making their own delicious fruit muffins last week! 🍓🫐

They did a fantastic job following the recipe, developing their baking skills and creating some great-looking muffins. We think they look absolutely delicious!

🔬 British Science Festival 2026 is in Southampton! 🧪

This week, Southampton is hosting the British Science Festival, one of Europe’s longest-running celebrations of science, technology, engineering and innovation. The festival runs until 20th September and offers a fantastic opportunity to explore science beyond the classroom.

There are lots of free talks, workshops, exhibitions, performances and interactive activities taking place across the city, including at the University of Southampton.

Many events are free, although advance booking is required for some activities.

As a science department, we love encouraging our students to see how science connects to the world around them, and this is a brilliant opportunity to discover cutting-edge research, meet scientists and explore exciting future careers.
