We have been made aware of a Netflix show from Cindy Pritchard, Lead Safeguarding Adviser in Hampshire Education. She says:

"I want to share a concern that has been brought to my attention regarding a series called The Amazing Digital Circus, which is currently available on streaming platforms including Netflix.

At first glance, the programme may appear to be aimed at young children due to its colourful animation, cartoon-style characters and playful title. However, the content is intended for an older audience and includes themes and scenes that many parents may find unsuitable for primary-aged children.

The show carries a 12 rating on Netflix and includes content warnings for violence, language and drug misuse. Some episodes contain scenes that could be upsetting for younger viewers, including depictions of injury, threatening situations and other disturbing imagery presented in an animated format."

Please be aware that this series is 12+ and not suitable for younger viewers.

My name is Dr Sam Chegini, and I am the owner of New Forest Family Dental, an affordable private dental practice in Totton. We are currently welcoming new patients and I am writing to ask whether you would kindly consider including a short advert in your school newsletter for parents and families.

We are pleased to offer our “Kids Go Free” scheme, which provides free dental care for children from the age of 1 up to and including 16 years old (excluding specialist dental care).

Under the scheme, one child receives free dental care for every registered Denplan adult at our practice. We believe this is a great way to help families access regular dental care for their children from an early age, helping them develop good oral health habits and maintain healthy teeth as they grow.

We would be very grateful if you could share the information with parents through your school newsletter. We can provide a suitable advert or wording for you to publish, making it as easy as possible for the school.

We have a very nice treat today from Ruby's mum in Year 2. Mum works for the Co-op in Salisbury Road and they had too many strawberries. These were given to the children as part of their school dinner today and offered in class as an extra snack. Thank you, they were yummy 😊

Tips for a Smooth Drop-Off/Pick-Up

Avoid Lydlynch Road: The road is a residential bottleneck that becomes exceptionally busy between 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM.
Respect Residents: If choosing nearby side streets for a quick stop, ensure you do not block driveways or drop-kerbs, as local enforcement actively monitors school zones.
Park and Stride: Parking 5 minutes away at Testvale or the War Memorial car park and walking the rest of the way is often faster than getting stuck in school gate traffic.
