☀️ Important Notice: School Closure Due to Extreme Heat ☀️

Due to the extreme temperatures and the safety of our children and staff being our highest priority, Wordsworth Primary and Nursery School will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday 24th June, and Thursday 25th June.

🕒 Key Information for Parents & Carers:
- Early Collection Today (Tuesday 23rd June): You have the option to collect your child from 1:00pm today as temperatures rise
- Home Learning: Children will bring home learning activities today to complete during the closure period
- Return Date: Following our planned INSET day on Friday 26th June, we look forward to welcoming all children back on Monday 29th June 2026.

Good morning, due to lack of uptake and the heat this week, we have taken the decision to cancel tomorrows SEND Parent Workshop from 5-6pm. The workshop will be rescheduled to another date, and we will be in touch when this is. Thank you.

Our Wordsworth Summer Fete is happening on Friday 3rd July from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

Join us for an afternoon of community fun, including tombolas, face painting, a lucky dip, and our amazing raffle! Beyond the prizes and games, it’s a brilliant way for our children to build confidence, celebrate our school values, and connect with friends outside the classroom.

From eco-warriors to master crafters! 🌊
Our Reception children have been exploring the underwater world following World Ocean Day last week.
We’ve been learning all about how to protect our oceans and keep fish and coral ecosystems safe. The children then put their fantastic fine motor skills to work, cutting and sticking to create their very own vibrant underwater adventure.
We love seeing their creativity and care for the planet shine through! ✨
