Courses we provide in the college are developed and delivered, on the whole, in partnership with those who have ‘lived experience’ of mental health problems or distress, and those who have ‘professional experience’. All our courses are available to everyone whether they identify themselves as a ‘service user’, ‘carer’ or ‘member of staff’ of Adult Mental Health services. Through everyone learning together with only one shared label of ‘student’, we believe that we can begin to break down the barriers and stigma that exist and support you, whatever your background, to benefit from the richness of experience. Our courses are themed in categories related to Hope, Agency and Opportunity and as you read through this prospectus you will see that they are of varying lengths, content and learning style. We hope this prospectus will give you the information you need to help you make decisions about enrolling as a student, and any courses you might want to sign up for.
