The Equip Course

The Equip Course Do you want to know the living God better? Do you want to grow in your understanding of the Bible? If so, why not join us on The Equip Course? WHEN? WHERE? WHY?

Do you want to be more effective in reaching non-Christians and encouraging those who are already Christians? The Equip Course takes place on Tuesdays over three terms. The day starts at 9:30am and ends at 3:45pm. People are welcome to bring their own lunch; there are also a few local shops where you can buy food. We provide some drinks and biscuits and snacks. The course is held at Freemantle Evangelical Church in Southampton. If you're driving, there is plenty of space in our car park directly in front of the church building. HOW MUCH? The course is £690 per year

WHAT? Each day we will be thinking about how to understand the Bible (Getting into the Book and Getting into the Bible) and how to engage in ministry (Principles of Ministry and Principles of Teaching). The purpose of The Equip Course is to equip Christians of all ages from different church backgrounds from across the south coast to better understand, live out and teach God’s Word in whatever setting they find themselves. Our prayer is that after one or two years on the course everyone will have made real progress in:

Being able to understand the Bible for themselves

Being able to then communicate the message of the Bible faithfully and engagingly

Thinking through what Bible-centred ministry looks like in a number of different contexts
