🌿 Life Beyond the Classroom

Our Year 11 students had an exciting opportunity to take part in water sports in the New Forest today. 🛶

Last night Year 10 were invited to find out more about The Duke of Edinburgh's Award DofE is about so much more than the classroom — developing confidence, resilience, teamwork and independence while trying new experiences and challenging yourself.

And there’s plenty more to come! Our Extra-Curricular Fair takes place next Wednesday at lunchtime and after school, followed by our Student Leadership Assemblies coming soon.

Lots of opportunities for our students to get involved, try something new and make the most of life beyond the classroom. 👏

🌟 Achieving Excellence Programme – Module 1

This week, our Year 7 and Year 11 students took part in Module 1 of our Achieving Excellence Programme, focusing on the habits, attitudes and approaches that will help them to thrive and achieve their very best.

It was fantastic to see so many Parents/ Carers supporting their children, engaging with the programme and working alongside us to help our students make the most of every opportunity.

A brilliant start to the programme and a great example of how we can Achieve Excellence.

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award 🥾– Day 2! 🌲
Year 11 have completed Day 2 of their Duke of Edinburgh expedition in the New Forest! 🎉

After their original expedition had to be cancelled due to the heatwave earlier in the year, it’s fantastic to see them back out there, putting in the miles and showing real determination, resilience and teamwork.

Tired legs, big smiles and plenty of memories made along the way! 💪🌳

After a full day of walking, the team have arrived at camp, set up their tents and are settling in for the evening. Tired legs, lots of miles covered and plenty of teamwork along the way! 💪

💙 Welcome, Year 7! 💙

What a fantastic few days it has been!

Since joining us on Wednesday, our new Year 7 students have been settling into life at The Hamble School, finding their way around, meeting new people and getting to know their teachers.

We’ve loved seeing their enthusiasm, confidence and excitement as they begin this new chapter. There is so much ahead of them, and we can’t wait to see all they achieve during their time with us.

A huge well done to Year 7 for such a brilliant start — you’re already a wonderful part of the Hamble family! 👏

🎒 Back to School – Wednesday 2 September!

The summer holidays are nearly over, and we’re getting ready to welcome our students back to The Hamble School on Wednesday 2 September! 💙

A little reminder that school is closed to students on Tuesday 1 September as our staff are in school for an INSED day. We can’t wait to see everyone back with us on Wednesday and start the new academic year together.

As the final few days of the holidays arrive, here are a few simple ways to help your child feel ready:

✨ Talk positively about the year ahead and what they’re looking forward to.
🎒 Check bags, uniform and equipment are ready.
⏰ Start getting back into school-time routines.
🗣️ Talk about any worries they may have – listening is often all they need.

Whether your child is moving up into a new year group or joining us as part of our new Year 7, a calm and positive start can make all the difference.

✨ THROWBACK TO OUR 2025 OPEN EVENING!

What a fantastic evening it was! From meeting our wonderful staff and students to getting a glimpse of life at The Hamble School, we loved welcoming so many families through our doors.

And now… just 3 weeks to go! 🎉
