As we begin the new academic year, your son/daughter may soon face the realisation that their exams are just around the corner. With that in mind, does your son or daughter need additional support with their Maths? Are they lacking in confidence? Do they find the subject difficult or simply need assistance focusing on their GCSE’s; I can help. As a current teacher, specialising in KS3 & KS4 Maths, I am able to offer weekly or fortnightly sessions during term time.

As exam day fast approaches, here are a few tips to complete whilst in the exam.

1) Read the question (twice)! Sounds silly but take your time - Read the question!

2)If unsure what the question is asking, can you atleast do something! Showing your workings can pick up valuable marks.

3) Draw a picture to help or draw on the picture if there is already one. Sometimes making the question more visual really helps.

4) Don’t rush! You have 90 mins. If you rush, you’ll make a mistake.

5) Does you answer actually make sense? Is your answer a sensible one?
