Fantastic day for the Southampton FC & Manchester United Legends game, with arguably the best moment having the chance to get a photo with one of my favourite players growing up - Dimitar Berbatov! 🇧🇬

Proud to be part of such a memorable and iconic occasion yesterday, supporting the Southampton FC Legends team against Manchester United Legends at St Mary’s Stadium, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the club’s historic 1976 FA Cup Final victory! 😇🏆

Absolutely delighted to share that in addition to my current role as Football Development Officer, I've now also successfully started as a Pre-Academy Coach at Southampton FC! 😇

Both days will be taking place at The Bay CE School - Community Facilities, starting at 10am and finishing at 3pm - and will include a range of development focused sessions, fun and engaging football activities, as well as small-sided games, tournaments, challenges and competitions! ⚽️

Another fantastic experience spending the end of last week in Northern Ireland, supporting our Southampton FC coaching visit for Connected Coaching NI! 🙌

As part of the trip, it was great to visit two different cities and host clubs - with Clooney Football Club in Derry/Londonderry and Rosario Football Club in Belfast! ⚽️

With it brilliant to meet so many passionate coaches and club staff, and work with both players from the host clubs and those attending from the local area - marking a really enjoyable and rewarding few days of learning and coaching! 🏆

Coaching opportunity for individuals currently on the Island, wishing to get involved within a progressive environment and pathway for committed young players! 📈⚽️

𝗫𝗰𝗲𝗹 𝗙𝗖 - 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁! 📣

Within our Xcel FC programme, which is our current premier player pathway - we have Team Manager, Assistant and Coaching positions available. Both to compliment and support our existing teams and staff, as well as to supplement and strengthen! 💪

𝘾𝙪𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙚𝙩𝙪𝙥 (𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝙎𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣):

As it stands for the current 2025-2026 season, we have sides at U11's, U12's and U13's - with each side competing in the Mid-Solent A Division for their respective age group! 🏆

𝙇𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘼𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙙 (𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲–𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 𝙎𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣):

Whilst as we head towards the 2026-2027 season, we're open and actively exploring welcoming additional age groups into our setup, as well as further teams within our existing ages as we look to build upon our player pathway! 📈

𝙍𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝘼𝙫𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮:

This exciting opportunity and positions within Xcel FC include availability for immediate starts, as well as those for next season, allowing for a July 1st start date 📅

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙒𝙚 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧:

With interested individuals able to look forward to joining an established and existing setup, a dedicated and experienced team that's willing to provide both on and off-pitch support - including administration duties, allowing you to simply focus on the team and football! ⚽️

In addition, coaches will have access to ongoing CPD opportunities, mentoring and guidance, supported directly by our Director – one of only two FA Approved Coach Developers on the Isle of Wight. Providing a unique opportunity to learn, grow and develop! 🙌

A truly great experience spending the last week in Tampa, supporting our coaching visit to one of our Southampton FC International Partner Clubs - Tampa Dynamo FC! 🇺🇸

In addition to the numerous sessions delivered, which included working with players aged from 6 up to 17 across a range of topics and themes. It was a fantastic experience to speak, connect and work with their coaches to support both theirs and the clubs continued growth and development! 📈

Wow — what an incredible response! 👏

I just wanted to take a moment to say a huge thank you for all the support following my post over the weekend. I’ve been genuinely humbled by the reaction — with over 18,000 views, nearly 450 reactions, and countless comments and messages (and those numbers still climbing!) 📈

To all the new followers, a very warm welcome and I really appreciate you joining the journey. Whilst moving forward, I’m excited to continue sharing updates here — whether that’s through my new role at Southampton FC, my ongoing work with Xcel Performance Coaching, or within the coach development space through Hampshire FA! ⚽️

With a focus on Xcel Performance Coaching, I've kept this page relatively quiet! But with a few milestones achieved recently and the beginning of a new job role - I felt it was worth an update! 🙌

First up, and after some unexpected delays, I'm delighted to say that I've now gained my UEFA B licence in both futsal and football! ⚽️

With the UEFA B futsal completed earlier this year, and the UEFA B football signed off yesterday afternoon! ✅️ Marking a huge personal target I've held for a long time, and two qualifications that have really benefitted me and my development as a coach! 📈

Whilst I'm super pleased and excited to finally be back at Southampton FC - rejoining the club as a football development officer! 😇

Now looking forward to the next few months ahead and finishing 2025, and really excited to see what the future brings! 🙏

The new academic year is here – and in case you missed it, we’ve shared TWO major announcements this week for players to get involved with Xcel Performance Coaching! 🤩

First, we’re delighted to confirm the return of our Xcel Evening Development Centres! With these sessions being the backbone of what we do and with the start of the 2025-2026 season, we're super proud to see them entering their fifth season and still running at their original home – Christ the King College! 🙌

Whilst this year, our 𝙍𝙖𝙞𝙨𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙂𝙖𝙢𝙚 and 𝙇𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡 𝙐𝙥 programmes will be using futsal as the vehicle to develop technically sharp and tactically intelligent footballers. With sessions designed by our experienced coaches to give players a secure, positive, and challenging environment to thrive in! ⚽️
