Southam College are delighted to have spent the morning celebrating the strong performances from Year 11 students. A huge amount of hard work and effort has gone into achieving this year’s GCSE and vocational results, with 71% of students achieved Grade 4 or above in Maths and English, 60% of all GCSE grades being a Grade 5 or above and nearly a quarter of all GCSE grades being a Grade 7 or above.

There are so many individual achievements and efforts, which demonstrate the confidence and resilience of our young people.

Whilst we are proud of every single student, particular congratulations go to Kerela Baria, Naomi Cowan, Milo Dalby, Scarlett Forgan, Gabi Makareviciute, Evie Munro, Lily Russell, Lola Treadgold, Cayden Lindop, Hope Udall, Michael Birch and Samuel Gascoyne who all achieve an average grade above a Grade 8!

Congratulations also go to Eben Justice, Maisie McCormick, Isaac Meredith, Daisy Setchell, Thomas Taylor, Ava Wainwright, Veda Badhe, Joshua Long, Rosie Smith, Maria Syniuk and Emily Finch for both excellent results and making fantastic progress over their time in secondary school.

Headteacher, Miss Mason, commented "I am incredibly proud of our Year 11 students and all they have achieved. The results reflect their excellent attitude in school, they have been a real pleasure to know and work alongside.

Sixth Form Enrolment: Key Reminders for GCSE Results Day

Good luck to everyone collecting their GCSE results tomorrow, Thursday 20th August. We are looking forward to welcoming our new Year 12 students! Results collection between 9:00am-11:30am.

Important Information
✅ Please read the letter in your results envelope carefully.
📍 Sixth Form Enrolment, Welcome and Support Desk
Located outside the Main Hall.

👩‍🏫 Sixth Form Team Support
Available in the Study Room for advice, guidance and subject changes. If you need to speak with a member of the team, as stated on the letter please join the seated queue system situated in the library.

📅 All Sixth Form students must complete enrolment before leaving on Results Day.
“New to Southam” External Students
If you are joining Southam College Sixth Form from another school, please bring your GCSE results and follow the signs to the Main Hall to register your arrival. You will then be directed to the Sixth Form Study Room outside entrance to complete your enrolment with the Head of Sixth Form, Mrs Campbell-Birch.

Unable to Collect Your Results in Person?
If you still wish to enrol at Southam College Sixth Form but cannot attend in person, please contact Mrs Campbell-Birch, Head of Sixth Form, or Mrs Powell, KS5 Administrator, as soon as possible if you have not already done so. We will arrange to speak with you on Thursday afternoon to discuss your enrolment documentation.

Southam College is delighted to celebrate our A Level and Level 3 Vocational results. Students’ hard work and effort, in their courses, have culminated in a great set of results across the Sixth Form with 20% of A Level grades being A*-A and 55% of grades A*-B and for vocational courses a phenomenal 81% of grades were D*-D.

Whilst we are proud of every single student’s achievement and effort, particular congratulations go to:

Mia Burndred (3 A* Grades), Callum Dolan and Emelie Ellis (2 A* Grades and 1 A Grade) and Emma Lockley (1 A* Grade, 1 D* Grade and 1 A Grade).

Emma Davies, Jack Harris, Milo Detheridge, Benjamin Hobson, Louis Gaucher, Hayden Garner, Archie Smith, Amelie Alsop, Fraser Wadsworth, James Crowder, Macy Pickthall, Luca Newman and Joeseph Bendall are recognised for their excellent results but also making outstanding progress in their Key Stage 5 studies.

Headteacher, Miss Mason, commented "We are incredibly proud of our Year 13 students and all they have achieved in Sixth Form. These results are a testament not only to their academic ability, but also to their resilience, determination and commitment throughout their studies.

Thursday 13th August 2026
9:00am-11:30am

Results will be available for collection from the Main Hall from 9:00am. Access to the site will be via the main entrance.
If you are unable to collect your results in person, you may nominate a family member or another individual to collect them on your behalf. The nominated person must bring:
-Written authorisation from you confirming permission to collect your results.
-Valid photo identification for themselves (for example, a passport or driving licence) for verification purposes.

Please note that examination results cannot be released by telephone, email or post.

Huge congratulations to former Southam College student, Noah McNulty, on successfully completing Phase One Training with the Royal Navy at HMS Raleigh. What a fantastic achievement and a testament to Noah’s determination, commitment and resilience. We are incredibly proud to see one of our former students reaching such an important milestone and embarking on an exciting career in the Armed Forces.

Noah is now preparing to begin the next stage of his journey, undertaking six months of Warfare Specialist Training at HMS Raleigh before moving on to six months of Submariner Training at HMNB Clyde. These demanding programmes will equip him with the specialist skills and knowledge required for a career in one of the Royal Navy’s most challenging and respected roles.

We wish Noah every success as he continues his training and look forward to hearing about his future achievements. He is a wonderful example of how dedication, perseverance and finding the right path can lead to great success. Everyone at Southam College sends their very best wishes for the exciting journey ahead.

Our Year 12 Criminology students recently had the privilege of welcoming Detective Inspector Gareth Unett from the Warwickshire Homicide and Major Investigation Unit for an inspiring and eye-opening talk.

Drawing on his extensive experience, Gareth shared his career journey and provided a fascinating insight into the realities of major crime investigations. Students learned about the wide range of specialist personnel involved in solving serious crimes, from detectives and forensic experts to digital analysts and legal professionals, highlighting the importance of teamwork in bringing offenders to justice.

The session also explored the different types of evidence required to build a strong case and secure a successful trial, bringing many of the topics studied in the classroom to life. Students were captivated by the real-world examples and gained a deeper understanding of the complexity, professionalism and dedication involved in homicide investigations.

This memorable experience was both educational and inspiring, giving students a valuable glimpse into potential future careers while deepening their appreciation of the criminal justice system. We are extremely grateful to Detective Inspector Gareth Unett for his time, expertise and support in enriching our students' learning.
