What a fantastic morning! Our Year 3 and 4 students absolutely shone on stage today, performing music they have been learning in their DooD lessons (beginner clarinet!) It was a wonderful showcase of their progress, alongside wonderful performances from our school’s guitar, piano, and recorder players.

Seeing our pupils share their passion for music was fantastic. If you’re interested in your child taking up an instrument, or if you’d like more information, please contact the school office.

🌟 From Bronze to Gold - what an achievement! 🌟
We are incredibly proud to announce that we have achieved the Gold School Games Award!
What makes this achievement even more special is that we have jumped straight from Bronze to Gold, recognising the significant emphasis and priority we place on physical activity, sport and healthy lifestyles across our school.
This award celebrates our commitment to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to take part in sport and physical activity, whether through PE lessons, clubs, competitions, festivals or active play. We believe that being active helps children develop confidence, resilience, teamwork and a lifelong love of healthy living.
A huge thank you to our staff, pupils, parents and sports partners who have supported and encouraged our sporting journey. A special thank you goes to Mrs Towey and Mrs Johnston for their hard work this year in promoting participation this year. We are delighted that the enthusiasm and dedication shown by our whole school community has been recognised with this prestigious award.

Our Year 3 and 4 tennis stars had a ball this afternoon at the partnership festival! ☀️ It was a brilliant afternoon. 🎾 We traded the classroom for the tennis court and served up some brilliant sunshine and smiles. Wimbledon, watch out - we’ve got some future champions in the making! 🏆

We were excited to be invited to the opening of the new Heart of England Co-op Food store in Southam on Saturday. Our children helped to cut the ribbon and we were thrilled to receive a monetary donation to the school, demonstrating the community focused aspect of the business. We are looking forward to exploring how we can spend the donation for the benefit of the children in the school community. Thank you!

Our local PCSO came to chat to year 5 and 6 today to introduce himself. He talked to them about keeping safe online and what to do if they feel worried about any messages they might receive. He also talked about his job and what he does! 👮‍♂️

Our drum sticks are feeling a little lonely, and need some drummers … we have spaces for lessons starting this September, and we want to help you find your rhythm! Contact the school office for more information.

We can’t wait to meet our new reception children today and we have a couple of lovely surprises for them! Each child will be given their first book bag, a picture book, pencil and notebook. There is also their first piece of homework - a comfort box to fill with some of their special things over the summer! ☀️
