A not-too-spooky workshop for children to make a length of bunting perfect to fit across a door. This is an ambitious project perfect for a child eager to make something they can show off proudly for Halloween.

There will be lots of treats and no tricks!

I am an ex- primary school teacher and I aim to make workshops fun, but safe and supportive. This workshop can be booked under the 'products' on my site.

It took a lot of research to make sure I was getting the best machines for all the newbie(and seasoned) sewists. These Brother Innovis A65 machines were my winner as they can be slowed right down and are simple to thread and use, but have lots of stitches and functions for the advanced sewers too. They're lovely and smooth to sew with too! I hope you love them as much as me!

Learn to sew and make a beautiful cushion in the process. This class will show you how to thread and use a sewing machine confidently, reinforce and finish seams neatly and give you the skills to start sewing and dressmaking. All materials, haberdashery and sewing machines included!

I hope you've been watching the Sewing Bee. I won't give away any spoilers but last night was a good one! Some of the sewers have only been sewing a year, so imagine what you could be making yourself this time next year! Why not give it a go? I've found students are amazed by how much they learn and can do in such a short space of time.

Hi!
I’m Maz your workshop tutor.
I absolutely love sewing and have done since about the age of 7 when I learnt to sew with my Gran on her heavy, knee operated Singer. I am a qualified teacher but originally my background is in adult mental health therapy. After my daughter was born and the Covid pandemic, I needed to re-evaluate my work-life balance and became a sewing tutor in Leamington. I have taught complete beginners to more advanced sewing and dressmaking classes for both adults and children. Outside of tutoring I test new patterns for women and children, make clothing samples and I also write blogs for fabric companies. When I’m not sewing I can often be spotted trying to coax my bear-sized Golden Retriever out of a bog!

I'm busy getting all the boring bits tied up behind the scenes, but I'm hoping workshops and classes will be running in Southam and Leamington in October. If you are interested, I'll be sharing lots of information over the next couple of weeks as I attempt to get the website up and running!
