We have set up a crowdfunder! 🌱

We believe that every child deserves access to nature play - to dig in soil, watch something grow and discover the wonder of the natural world.

Up to this point The Seashell Garden has been entirely self funded - built alongside a part time job and raising a toddler. But to keep growing and reach more families across South Tyneside and Sunderland, we need a little help.

Your support will help us invest in session equipment, professional training and most importantly - funded spaces so that every family can access nature play regardless of their financial situation.

A lovely morning in the shade of the trees 🌳
Today at The Seashell Garden we went bug hunting with our magnifying glasses and built our very own bug hotels to take home 🐛
Little ones discovered who lives under leaves, behind bark and in the soil, and then built them the cosiest little homes from leaves, sticks, bark and natural stems.

There is nothing quite like watching a little one peer through a magnifying glass at a tiny world they never knew existed 🔍

Today at The Seashell Garden we went on a minibeast hunt, made our very own bug hotels to take home and got the most wonderful surprise - we were allowed to cut some beautiful flowers from the garden to take home too! 🌸

Today's session took an unexpected turn... and it turned out to be one of my favourites 🌿
Nature weaving was on the plan but sometimes things don't go quite as expected - and today that led us somewhere even better!

One of our brilliant m**s suggested nature wands and suddenly we had the most magical session - collecting natural finds, making wands from sticks and wool and then discovering they made the most amazing mud paintbrushes too!

Honestly? The best sessions are often the ones that surprise you. 🌱

We did it. 🏰🌱

This morning The Seashell Garden took root in the most magical of settings - the beautiful grounds of Hylton Castle in Sunderland.

Little ones planted their very first seeds of summer, explored the woodland and one little explorer even made their very own bug hotel! 🐛

And just when we thought it couldn't get any more magical... wild rabbits! 🐰

I started this journey a few months ago with a bag of seeds and a big dream. Today felt like proof that those seeds are growing into something really special.

Thank you to every single family who joined us this morning - you made it everything I hoped it would be and more.
