🌊 From cadetship to career!
Findley Cooper recently completed his studies at City of Glasgow College and shared some wonderful feedback about his experience with SSTG and his Training Officer, Jane Chivers:
“I would like to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to SSTG for the support and experience I received while studying at the City of Glasgow College. I genuinely had the best experience, and a massive part of that was because of my training officer, Jane.
Jane was always there whenever I needed something, and she went above and beyond to make sure everything was organised and sorted out. What stood out to me most was how genuinely interested she was in us as individuals. She truly cared about how we were getting on and always wanted to make sure we were happy, supported and doing our best.
SSTG also have a fantastic network of contacts within the industry, which has been a huge benefit to me. Thanks to the connections they have built, they were able to help line me up with a job after I completed college. Having that support and knowing that they genuinely wanted to see us succeed beyond college meant a lot to me and gave me a great start to my career.
Jane has such a warm, friendly and approachable way about her. I never felt like I was speaking to a scary boss or someone I couldn’t go to with a problem - I honestly felt more like I had a friend supporting me throughout my time at college. She made the whole experience feel so much easier and more enjoyable, and I will always be grateful for the time, effort and care she put into supporting me.
Thank you to Jane and everyone at SSTG for making my time at the City of Glasgow College such a positive and memorable experience. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better training officer, and I will always appreciate everything Jane and SSTG did for me. The support, opportunities and connections they provided have given me a brilliant foundation for my career, and I couldn’t be more grateful.”
