Yesterday a member of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary (RFA) who support the Royal Navy unfortunately was lost overboard whilst operating in the Irish Sea. The search has now been called off & you’ve got to say in temperatures & conditions like we’ve had yesterday and today it’s almost impossible for them to have survived even with the right gear worn. It does highlight how dangerous it is to serve in any of our forces and that even in “peacetime” they put their lives on the line to keep us safe. RIP sailor 🌊⚓️

Very challenging conditions today with high onshore winds making the waves poor quality & a strong rip current across the beach giving Eccie & Mike (the only 2 brave souls to go in) a difficult morning trying to catch some (or any) waves.
The rest of the crew chose to enjoy the delicious cookies & coffee from Bessy’s Sweet Bakes while staying wrapped up warm on shore & having more of a social than a surf, swapping stories from their past service and laughing at new stories aswell as the old ones !!!
If you’d like to give surfing a go, then message us through here for more details !! Remember, it’s also completely FREE to all Veterans, Serving Armed Forces and family, this includes tuition and all equipment needed which includes board, wetsuits, boots and gloves !!

Storm Amy passing through meant very high winds this weekend and that meant no water action 🏄🏼♂️ for the crew.
Fortunately the sun was out so a social meet up was still had with various members pointing and looking out to sea at the beautiful albeit dangerous waves 🌊 while safely drinking hot coffees from Bessy’s Sweet Bakes van 🚐
Hopefully next weekend brings better conditions so we can get in the water 🏄🏼♂️
