💜 NEW Women’s Group – Trauma-Informed Workshops for Recovery

We’re excited to share a new Women’s Group exclusively for STARS service members 💜

Led by True Connection NE, this supportive and welcoming group will explore how trauma can affect our thoughts, feelings and behaviours, while developing healthier ways of coping, connecting and moving forward.

Across a series of interactive workshops, you’ll have the opportunity to explore techniques including:

✨ Tapping / EFT
✨ Internal Family Systems
✨ Creating an Anchor
✨ Havening
✨ SWISH techniques

⏰ 1:30pm – 2:30pm
📍 The Hub, Queen Street

This is a safe space to learn, connect and develop tools that can support your recovery and wellbeing 💜

Please come along to this new group, running from Monday 12th October at the new South Tyneside Adult Recovery Service Hub in Queen St.

These sessions are open to STARS members, are free of charge and have been created in response to requests for a trauma-informed approach to addiction and pathways to recovery through regaining power in the present, despite past events.

Each week we will:

- explore different aspects of how and why the brain behaves as it does, through a trauma-informed lens
- practise practical techniques to reframe, manage and ultimately regain power over unwanted negative thoughts, compulsions and behaviours

Following each workshop, I will also be available for 1:1 support for any participant to access.

Lovely morning spent connecting with other community services at A better u drop in this morning!

So many great services available in South Tyneside - the next drop in will be October 12th at Cleadon Park Library and I will be there if you would like to know about havening or self-havening for emotional wellbeing 👍

I will be at Cleadon Park Library from 10am on Monday 14th September taking part in the upcoming A better u Drop In.

Through my CIC, I offer a number of free sessions, as well as concessions for those who work in the emergency services, veterans, students, those on a pension etc.

Incredibly grateful that this therapy came into my life at the "right" moment - it was like the missing bit of the jigsaw puzzle and has helped me run 4 funded community programs helping people with trauma symptoms in a way which I never thought possible 🥰🥰
