Safeguarding during the summer holidays

During the school holidays, the safeguarding team only monitors their email address occasionally. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999. For other serious or urgent issues, contact South Tyneside Council children's services directly on 0191 4245010 rather than waiting for a reply here.

Children and young people can contact Childline free and confidentially on 0800 1111.

Parents and carers can contact the NSPCC helpline on 0808 800 5000.

If a child or young person is struggling with their mental health, they can text YM to 85258 for free, 24/7 crisis support. Parents wanting advice can also contact the YoungMinds Parents Helpline on 0808 802 5544.

What a day Y6 have had. They started the day with their amazing assembly, we then surprised Y6 with an ice-cream van and pizza outside!

They were even more excited about the big surprise of having a water fight with Miss Pattison, Mrs Stanton and Mrs Arthur last lesson and they thoroughly enjoyed soaking their teachers.

We have all had so much fun and they totally deserved a fabulous afternoon!

Well done Y6.

One more day to go! We hope we have made some amazing memories with you all. ☺️

Parents/carers of the new year 3 class 6 JH,

There will be a parent meeting in my classroom on the first day back to school Weds 2nd Sept 3.30pm until 4.30pm. It is a great chance for me to explain what year 3 will look like and explain some useful info. It's also a great chance for you to have a peek at our classroom environment and ask any questions you may have. Mrs Greener will take the children onto the MUGA for the hour.

Hope to see you all there!

Many thanks, Mrs Hunter :)

HADRIAN PRIMARY SCHOOL

Dear Parents / Carers

As it’s the last day of term your child can bring into school/nursery a toy to play with on Friday 17th July 2026.

The school cannot be held responsible for any toy or device that is lost or damaged, so if possible put your child’s name on the toy and do not send in anything which can easily be broken or is sentimental or expensive.

Please do not allow your child to bring mobile phones into school, children are not allowed them in school.

Tablets and other devices can be brought in, but will not be allowed to connect to the school WIFI.

School will reopen to children following the summer break on Wednesday 2nd September 2026.

Thank you.
