From the school hall to the big stage! We are bursting with pride for our incredible KS1 and KS2 After-School Dance Club pupils who performed at the 2026 South Tyneside Dance Festival at The Customs House! 🎭

They absolutely rocked the stage, showcasing weeks of hard work, dedication, and incredible rhythm. The energy in the theatre was electric, and our dancers shone brighter than the stage lights! 💫

A massive thank you to our amazing staff, the supportive parents, carers and family members who cheered them on, and—most importantly—our wonderful pupils for demonstrating such brilliant teamwork. You are all superstars! ⭐

🎨 Year 1 had a fantastic time exploring primary and secondary colours this week! 🌈

We were thrilled to welcome Linda from ARTventures into school for a brilliant, hands-on workshop. Our talented young artists had a blast printing, using different art tools, and mixing colours to see what magic they could create! ✨

Science in action! 🔬🌿

Our recent trip to Rainton Meadows gave our Reception children the perfect opportunity to dive into nature—literally! They had a fantastic time pond-dipping, identifying different freshwater species, and learning all about habitats.

A massive THANK YOU to our fantastic parent helpers! We honestly couldn’t run these hands-on trips without your support, energy, and willingness to get stuck in (and muddy!). You helped make it a truly memorable day for our mini-scientists. 💚

🏛️ Democracy in Action at Our School! 🏛️

We were absolutely thrilled to welcome Lynne Hobson to our school last week for a fascinating and vital session all about the UK Parliament!

As a Gold Rights Respecting School, providing our students with a deep understanding of governance, democracy, and voice is incredibly important to us. This visit perfectly supports our Personal Development curriculum, giving our children real-world context on how society works.

During the interactive session, Lynne covered: 🔹 What Parliament is and what it does (including the House of Commons and House of Lords) 🔹 Voting and general elections 🔹 What the government is and its daily role 🔹 Who our local MP is and how they represent us 🔹 Exactly how laws are made

The children wrapped up the session with some incredibly thoughtful questions! A huge thank you to Lynne for inspiring our future leaders and active citizens. 🌟
