Our team at Ashfield Nursery are lacing up their walking shoes and taking on a 7.1-mile sponsored walk to raise funds for a life-saving defibrillator to be installed on the outside of our nursery (hospital site), making it accessible to our nursery families, local community, and anyone who may need it in an emergency.
π Our Route:
Roker Pier β‘οΈ South Shields Pier
π₯Ύ Distance: Approximately 7.1 miles
A defibrillator can make all the difference in the event of a cardiac arrest, and by having one available 24 hours a day in our community, we hope to provide a vital piece of equipment that could help save a life.
We would be incredibly grateful if you could support our fundraising by sponsoring our walk or making a donation. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, brings us one step closer to reaching our goal.
β€οΈ Together, we can make a real difference and help keep our community safe.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and continued support.
If you would like to sponsor us or make a donation, please speak to a member of our team or contact the nursery. Every penny raised will go towards purchasing and installing this life-saving equipment.
Wish us luck on our 7.1-mile challenge β we'll be walking every step for a great cause! π

While the nursery may be closed to the children, it certainly doesn't mean everything stops behind the scenes! π
You might think that when our doors close, everyone switches off and heads home β but that's far from the truth. Our dedicated team are always working hard to develop their knowledge and skills so they can continue providing the very best care and education for your little ones.
Recently a group of our wonderful staff have successfully refreshed their Paediatric First Aid training. βοΈ This essential training ensures they remain up to date with the latest guidance and are fully equipped to respond confidently in an emergency, helping us provide the safest possible environment for every child in our care.
We're incredibly proud of our team for their commitment to continuous learning and for always striving to be the very best they can be. Thank you for trusting us with your children's first steps into education. β€οΈ

As another school year comes to an end, we'd like to wish all of our families a very Happy End of Term! βοΈπ
Today is a bittersweet day as we say goodbye and good luck to some of our wonderful children as they take their next exciting step on their educational journey. It has been an absolute privilege to watch each and every one of you learn, grow and flourish, and we know you'll continue to achieve amazing things.
Thankfully, it's not goodbye to everyone! We're excited that many of our children will be staying with us throughout the summer, where we'll continue making special memories, enjoying exciting activities and having lots of fun together. π
We would also like to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our amazing parents and carers for your thoughtful gifts, beautiful cards and kind messages. We are truly humbled by your generosity and incredibly grateful for your support.
Most importantly, thank you for choosing Ashfield Nursery to be part of your child's very first steps into education. The trust you place in us is something we never take for granted, and it has been an honour to be part of your children's early learning journey.
We wish all of our families a safe, happy and fun-filled summer, and we can't wait to welcome our returning children back for more adventures very soon! π
