AFD Vocal & Performance Coaching

AFD Vocal & Performance Coaching Professional vocal coaching for young performers in the North East of England. LCM examination sessions take place in the spring, summer and winter.

AFD Vocal & Performance Coaching provides 30 minute and 1 hour one to one private singing lessons for young performers age 3+. Lessons take place ay my home in South Shields where I have a dedicated teaching space which is ideal for a relaxed environment for children to learn effectively. Students are given the opportunity to undertake LCM singing exams throughout the year. I currently teach Popular Music Vocals, Music Theatre and Early Learning Music syllabi. AFD has a 100% pass rate with most students gaining distinctions. Although examinations are a great tool for young performers to have, I also encourage students to take part in as many performance opportunities (amateur and professional) as possible in order to gain an authentic and hands on experience. Some students enjoy taking part in vocal competitions and many students have gained 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in face to face and online competitions however, I must stress that I only encourage taking part in vocal competitions and festivals as a recreational fun activity and to use it as a performance opportunity rather than the focus being on winning medals, fancy costumes and make up. The main aim of AFD Vocal & Performance Coaching is to prepare young performers for the real performing arts industry and to offer a solid training in vocal studies alongside offering students with plenty of performance opportunities, qualifications and industry knowledge.
