𝘒𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘥𝘰𝘸𝘴. 🌻☀️

It’s 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 and what better way to mark the occasion than by getting our little artists 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 with creativity! 🎨

Our children had a 𝘀𝘂𝗻-𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 time creating their very own sunflower prints, using paint to make 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 petals and 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 blooms. ☀️

There was plenty of 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝘂𝗻 as we explored colours, patterns and textures, while developing those 𝗮𝗹𝗹-𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 fine motor skills along the way. 🌱✨

Our little sunflowers certainly 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝗽 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗮𝘆 and we think their masterpieces are 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘀! 🌻💛

𝘞𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘴 𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘴! 🐝

This week Nurserytime has been 𝗯𝘂𝘇𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 with excitement in anticipation of 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆! We have been discovering just how 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 these tiny but mighty creatures are to our world. 🌎🐝

Our little 𝗯𝗲𝗲-𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 got stuck into a variety of bee-themed experiences, from 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 to exploring the 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 world of bees through 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 sensory play. We discovered where bees live, how they collect nectar and why they play such a 𝗯𝗶𝗴 role in helping our flowers and plants to grow. 🌼🍯

There was plenty of 𝗯𝗲𝗲-𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 creativity, lots of 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗼𝗻 exploration and, of course, a whole lot of 𝗯𝘂𝘇𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 along the way! 💛🖤

We think our little learners have been absolutely 𝗯𝗲𝗲-𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁! 🐝✨

We love nothing more than a 𝗳𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗼𝘂𝘀 feedback Friday and this week it's all about our 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 staff team as we round-off another 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 academic year. As ever, our staff morale remains at the forefront of our minds as 𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 = 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 for our children and their families.❤️

It was 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 to hear some of the 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 feedback we received from our team. After all, as the saying goes '𝘊𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘢 𝘫𝘰𝘣 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘢 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦.'👏

𝘙𝘦𝘤𝘺𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘤 ♻️✨

Yesterday marked our second annual 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮. Equipped with some recycled cartons, we set sail on a mission to 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 transform into boats. Maintaining our 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 for sustainability, we 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗱 the opportunity to repurpose our resources and open a 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 line of enquiry and further our mathematical language and scientific knowledge.🤔

Our ethos 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝘀 the use of resources which have been hand-picked, recycled or repurposed to provide 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 and 𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝘄𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿.🌿💦

We certainly 𝘀𝘂𝗯𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗱 ourselves in learning opportunities, all while having 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝘁-𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱𝘀 of fun!⛵

𝘖𝘭𝘥 𝘔𝘢𝘤𝘋𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘥 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘳𝘮… 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧𝘧 𝘵𝘰 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘴𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵! 🐮🐷

There’s something rather 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 about bringing our 𝗮𝗹𝗹-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝘃𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 nursery rhymes to life, and ‘Old MacDonald’ is certainly one that never fails to 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆. So today, we swapped singing about farmyard friends for meeting them 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲-𝘁𝗼-𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲 as we headed off on an 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 adventure to our local Bill Quay Farm🐐

Our journey began with a 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 metro adventure, with our little explorers watching the world 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 by as we made our way to the farm. 🚆

From 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 goats and 𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗳𝗳𝘆 sheep to 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 guinea pigs and plenty more 𝗳𝘂𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 friends, there were lots of 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 to be made. Every moo, baa and squeak brought new 𝗲𝘅𝗰𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 and plenty of opportunities for our children to learn about the animals around them. 🐄🐹

What a 𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗺-𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 day we had! A 𝗵𝘂𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 to the 𝗳𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 team at Bill Quay Farm for making us feel 𝘀𝗼 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 and for giving our little explorers such a 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 experience. We certainly had an 𝗲-𝗶-𝗲-𝗶-𝗼 of a time! 🌾💚

𝘐𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘺𝘦𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘢 𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦... 🌳✨

Today we ventured to our local Thompson Park for an afternoon filled with 𝗳𝘂𝗻, 𝗳𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗮𝗶𝗿! 🍃

From climbing and 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗾𝘂𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 the play equipment to zooming down the 𝘀𝗹𝗶𝗱𝗲𝘀 and swinging high, there were plenty of opportunities to 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 and put our 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 skills to the test.💪

With plenty of 𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀, 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗲𝗿 and 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 shared with our friends, we certainly had a 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸-𝘁𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 time! 🌳💚

𝘐𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘥𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 🫧✨

Last week, as the temperatures peaked, we felt it only right we really bring the tempo down and engage in some 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿-𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 play. Where little hands, curious eyes and tiny toes were given the chance to 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 and 𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲 with a world of different sights, sounds, textures and sensations.✋

From 𝘀𝗼𝗳𝘁 and 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗸𝘆 textures to 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗹𝘆, 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝘆 and 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗳𝘂𝗹 discoveries, our little explorers were encouraged to investigate everything at their own pace. Every 𝘁𝗼𝘂𝗰𝗵, 𝘁𝗮𝗽, 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗯 and 𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗻 was another opportunity to learn through play. 👶🏻💛

These 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 moments are about so much more than having fun. Sensory play supports our babies as they develop their 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀, 𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 and 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, whilst 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 to explore the world around them.

A little 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗯 here, a 𝗴𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲 there and plenty of 𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 along the way - sensory time really is 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝘀! 🌈🤍
