Could you survive an emergency at sea? 🌊

Join us on 22nd August for our RYA Sea Survival Course, a must for anyone spending time on the water. This one-day course gives you the knowledge and practical skills that could make all the difference in an emergency.

A key part of the course is the practical pool session, where you'll experience entering and using a liferaft while wearing full wet weather gear and a lifejacket. You'll also learn about survival techniques, lifejackets, search and rescue procedures, medical aspects of sea survival, and the essential safety equipment carried on board.

While we all hope you'll never need these skills, knowing what to do in an emergency could save your life or someone else's.

Already completed the Youth Powerboat Course? It’s time to build your confidence and head further afield with our Youth Powerboat Cruising Course

This exciting two day course is designed to develop the skills needed to navigate safely, plan short passages and take on more advanced boat handling under the guidance of our Instructors.

By the end of the course, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to plan and carry out short passages under the supervision of a competent adult.

We are proud to announce that Edinburgh Marine Academy is now officially an MCA-approved training centre, marking a major milestone in our commitment to delivering high quality maritime education and professional training.

As part of this development, we are now running two key MCA-approved courses:

• MCA Small Ships Navigation and Radar Course
• Small Workboat Stability Course

These courses are designed to equip seafarers with essential practical knowledge, operational competence and safety awareness required in real-world maritime environments.

We look forward to supporting both new entrants and experienced professionals as they progress their maritime careers with us.

A huge congratulations to these two fantastic ladies who were out on the water this week with our brilliant instructor Sarah and successfully passed their Powerboat Level 2 course!

They’re now qualified to drive small RIBs and other powerboats up to 10 metres. Perfect time to pass, just in time for the summer activities 🤩

They were lucky enough to snap a selfie with HMS Queen Elizabeth!
