We're incredibly proud to support Stanley Smith and our local football team this season.

At South Molton Community College, our commitment to our students extends far beyond the school gates. Supporting both our current and former students, as well as the wider community, is something we are passionate about. It is fantastic to see Stanley, one of our recent leavers who achieved excellent GCSE results this summer, continuing to thrive both on and off the pitch.

The celebrations continue today as we are delighted to celebrate Matilda and her fantastic GCSE achievements.

Matilda has achieved a wonderful set of results, including Grade 9s in both English Language and English Literature, alongside Grade 7s in History and Geography and Grades 5 and 6 across Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.

These results are a reflection of Matilda's hard work, determination and commitment throughout her time with us. We are incredibly proud of all that she has achieved and delighted to celebrate her success.

In September, Matilda will be moving on to college to study A Levels in Law and Psychology. We are excited to see her continue her education in subjects that will build upon her strengths and interests and we have every confidence that she will flourish in this next stage of her journey.

The celebrations continue as we are delighted to celebrate Dylan and his fantastic GCSE and vocational achievements.

Although Dylan was away on an Outward Bound course in Wales on Results Day, we are incredibly proud to recognise and celebrate his success alongside that of his Year 11 peers.

Dylan has achieved an outstanding set of results, including Grade 9s in Biology, Mathematics and Physics alongside Grade 8s in Geography, English Language and Chemistry. Dylan also achieved an overall Level 2 Distinction* in his WJEC Engineering qualification, demonstrating both his academic excellence and practical skills.

These exceptional results are a reflection of Dylan's hard work, dedication and commitment throughout his time with us.

We are especially pleased that, despite being away on Results Day itself, Dylan was able to share the excitement of opening his results with family and friends at home and celebrate this well-deserved success.

In September, Dylan will be taking up a scholarship at West Buckland School, where he plans to study A Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics and Physics. This is a fantastic achievement and a wonderful opportunity, reflecting both his academic ability and determination.

As we reflect on today's GCSE and BTEC Results Day, we are filled with an overwhelming sense of pride.

Today has been about much more than grades. It has been about celebrating the hard work, determination, resilience and growth shown by every one of our students throughout their journey.

For some, today has brought feelings of joy and excitement as they achieved the results they had hoped for. For others, there may have been surprise, shock or even some disappointment. Whatever the outcome, we want every student to know just how proud we are of them.

Behind every result is a story of perseverance, challenges overcome, progress made and personal achievement. Success looks different for every individual and each grade represents countless hours of effort, commitment and learning. We have seen our students grow in confidence, maturity and character, and that is something worth celebrating.

We would also like to thank our dedicated staff, supportive families and wider community for the encouragement they have provided along the way. It was wonderful to see so many people come together this morning to celebrate the achievements of our young people.

To every member of our leaving Year 11 cohort: thank you for everything you have contributed to our school community. Whether you are moving on to sixth form, college, apprenticeships, employment or training, we wish you every success and happiness in the future.

We are proud of every single one of you, and we cannot wait to see what comes next.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Lucy and her fantastic GCSE and BTEC achievements.

Lucy has achieved an excellent set of results, with all of her GCSE grades at Grade 5 or above, including a remarkable Grade 8 in Geography and Grade 7s in Mathematics, German and Biology.

Alongside her GCSE success, Lucy also achieved an outstanding Level 2 Distinction in BTEC Animal Care, highlighting her dedication, passion and commitment to her studies.
