We started the Improve Academy because we were fed up seeing personal trainers qualify without actually being ready for the job.

Most courses are either fully online (with no hands-on experience) or a full-time crash course that barely fits into anyone’s life.

So we built something better.

Our 10-week hybrid course blends flexible online learning with weekly in-gym sessions here in Glasgow — giving you real-world experience, expert feedback, and the confidence to actually coach people when you qualify.

After years of talks, we’ve finally convinced to come and deliver a seminar for us in Glasgow.

Kev’s an absolute wizard when it comes to strength and conditioning, and with over 30 years of experience working with both normal folks and professional athletes, there’s no one we’d rather host.

Our next L3 Diploma in Personal Training kicks off in January and we couldn't be more excited about it.

Since 2021, we've been kicking off each New Year by welcoming a new cohort of L3 PT Diploma students into our gym, Improve Glasgow.

Our graduates are now sprinkled amongst most gyms in Glasgow, with one lucky devil just landing her dream job in Melbourne, Australia.

At the Improve Academy, our tutors have over two decades of combined coaching experience.

We've, quite literally, trained thousands of people to improved health and fitness; from 13-year olds to 80-odd year olds, from first time gym-goers to professional atheletes, from those looking to gain tens of kilos to those looking to lose tens of kilos.

Now, as well as continuing to train our members at Improve Glasgow on a daily basis, we pass on our knowledge to our Academy students who want to go on to make positive impacts on peoples' lives themselves.

"Gutted I can't do this course all over again!"

Our weekly practicals quickly become the highlights of our students' weeks when our Level 3 PT course is up and running.

So much so that the nostalgia has one of our former students pining to do it all over again.

Our next Level 3 Personal Training Diploma kicks off in 18 days time, and we couldn't be more excited about it.

Our hybrid course is run over 10 weeks with weekly practicals in Improve Glasgow (on Saturdays from 1pm-5pm) and theory work done at home in your own time.

This format makes our course perfect for the fitness enthusiast who is in full-time work/education and wants to add a personal training qualification string to their bow; whether that's to start a side-hustle or to completely change career.

And that’s a wrap!

Today was the last practical session for our latest crop of Level 3 Personal Training students.

The quantum leaps in confidence and competence over the last ten have been a joy to watch and a pleasure to have been a part of.

From the first day covering the basics of exercise technique to dominating the gym floor in their practical assessments today - it’s been amazing.

Thank you to all involved for a thoroughly enjoyable last few months.

We’re looking forward to watching you all go out and make your own waves in our industry.

Our next intake kick off on the 1st of May and our super early bird rate is available until March 31st.

The next group have got a lot to live up to in the banter stakes…
