✨ Summer Club Adventures! ✨

We’ve had another lovely week at our summer club, full of exploring, creating and lots of hands-on fun! 🌟

🚀 Our Space Session
We blasted off into space, creating our very own galaxy potions filled with colour and sparkle! 🌌🧪 We also got creative making our own stars and planets, exploring different colours, shapes and textures along the way. 🪐⭐

🐯 The Tiger Who Came to Tea
For our next session, we joined The Tiger Who Came to Tea for a roaring good time! 🫖🐯 The children created their own tiger masks, explored tiger stripes through different creative activities and made their very own tiger collages.

So much learning happens through play — from creativity and imagination to communication, fine motor skills and exploring the world around us. 💛

We’ve loved seeing all of the children’s wonderful ideas come to life during our summer sessions! ☀️🌈

🌟 MEET THE TEAM — MEET ASHLEIGH! 🌟

👋 Ashleigh — Manager of Happy Stars TM Preschool

After having her daughter, Ashleigh went on to complete her degree in Education and Early Years. Her Early Years training began in a Reception class before she made the move into preschool — and she hasn’t looked back!

Ashleigh has now spent 7 years working in childcare, including the last 1½ years in management. Before becoming Manager, she had already been part of the Happy Stars family for 2 years as an Educator. ⭐

She is always up for having fun and making a mess, getting the children excited and involved in everything they do! You’ll often find her singing, dancing, being silly or having a bundle on the floor… usually with several children squashing her at once! 😂💕

Outside of preschool, Ashleigh is also a mum to two girls. 👩‍👧‍👧

Camp & Pond Life Theme 🐸🌿💦
Today at camp we had so much fun exploring our pond life themed activities! The children loved getting hands-on with lots of sensory play, investigating textures, scooping and pouring, and discovering all the exciting pond-inspired treasures hidden in our trays.

We also got creative with our craft activity, making our own camp themed creations and exploring different materials. It was a wonderful day full of imagination, curiosity and messy fun! 💚

🏖️🌊 Beach Day at Happy Stars! 🌊🏖️

Today we brought the seaside to preschool with lots of hands-on, sensory fun! 🐠🐚

Our beach-themed tuff tray was made using crushed digestive biscuits for the sand (although we’re pretty sure a few may have mysteriously disappeared along the way 👀😂) and spaghetti with food colouring for the ocean. The children loved exploring the different textures, scooping, mixing and creating their own seaside adventures. 🌊

We also got creative making our very own coral reefs using pasta and modelling clay, developing those all-important fine motor skills while talking about the amazing creatures that live beneath the sea. 🪸🐟

Over at our harbour bay, the children explored seaweed, fish and boats in the water tray, creating their own little stories and adventures as they played. ⛵🐠

So much learning through play today — sensory exploration, imagination, creativity, communication and plenty of seaside fun! 💙

🌊🐠 Under the Sea Adventures at Summer Camp! 🪼⚓💙

Today we dove into an exciting Under the Sea theme, packed with creativity, imagination and lots of fun! 🌊✨

🪼 We made our own colourful jellyfish… although some of the children thought they looked more like octopuses! 🐙 (And we loved hearing all of their wonderful ideas!)

🐚 Our ocean-themed tuff tray was a huge hit! Filled with sea creatures, sand and foamy bubbles, the children used their imaginations to become the crashing waves, pushing the bubbles across the beach until they created their very own sea foam. It was fantastic sensory play and sparked so many conversations and stories.

📚 We also enjoyed reading the hilarious story about a fish who had fingers! 😱 The children loved finding out how he used them to rescue his friend.

🎶 We finished by singing sea shanties together before heading out into the garden to enjoy some fresh air, sunshine and plenty of outdoor play. ☀️🌿

Another day full of curiosity, creativity and magical learning through play. 💙
