✏️I'm not saying this is perfect teaching by any means, but we did this quick little writing video to encourage one of Rory's friends to write too... Maybe you could do the same to help children reach out to the people they love and miss?
✨Writing should always have a purpose for children in the Early Years ✨
✏️Grab yourself a phonics/ alphabet mat, a nice chunky pencil and lots of patience 😀.
❣️ Remember to sound out each word, allow lots of independence, and don't expect perfect spelling. The goal here is for children to spell phonetically (so in this video, you'll notice Rory tried to spell 'Billy' as 'Billee' which is fine! Usually I would leave it there but since it was his friend's name, I told him the correct sound. He also spelled 'miss' as 'mis' which again, is phonetically appropriate).
Let me know if this video helps xx
