Hello Beauties, I know lots of you are patiently waiting for Autumn booking and the golden season of magic so I’m pleased to share that bookings will be live from this SUNDAY the 10th @ 9pm

This is a little reminder of my weekly timetable, with the exciting addition of home ed Wednesday nature club! Eeeekkk ❤️🌿✨

Both the Thursday after school nature club & home ed are term booking and include seasonal badges and nature journals.
trial date booking available, please dm.

Woodland babies will slowly move back into the cottage as the cooler mornings approach ( I’m trialing that name as I think it needs a name not just ‘ the building’ after 5 years, suggestions welcome! 😅)

It’s here!!!!…… The summer timetable has arrived!
Booking will be live on Friday the 3rd of July at 9pm so set your alarms!

Any questions please pop me a message, a couple of notes:

*Stay & Play will remain as cruising-5yrs

* Explore is 18mths-10yrs ( booking link will say to 5yrs, ignore for summer)

*Dads & Dragons will have a similar vibe to the very popular fairy gardens but with a little more roar energy!

*Birthing Bear parent class will be bookable through DMs or on my sister page .birthing.bear - please share with any pregnant friends! 🙏🏽❤️

*Sibling discount will be on S&P and Explore but not on Clubs/workshops sorry.

* Home Ed Nature club will run very similar to the current nature club vibe with the view to it being a fortnightly class from September ☺️

It’s Insect week in the UK and iv been so excited to put these gorgeous bug & butterfly boxes up for your children to observe!

Teaching our children about showing empathy towards insects, not calling them creepy crawlies and making learning about them fun and exciting has always been important to me and something I’m passionate about ❤️✨

I genuinely get upset when I see these amazing creatures being intentionally squashed or their habitats stripped.
We need these amazing creatures and oh my goodness they are endlessly fascinating and should be a part of every childhood ❤️

This week we have been drawing insects, spotting them in the garden & woods and making some lovely play-dough bugs!

The lovely Green Feathers recently gifted me these beautiful little boxes for around the garden. It’s going to be so much fun watching them fill up!

Green Feathers is also the company that provides all the amazing bird box cameras, and again this is an important one to me as I would love to see a day when every classroom has a bird box camera in place for the children to watch and learn from, how amazing to be able to learn about all the different species, what the parents feed them and how they build their nests!

Hello and welcome!

It’s so lovely to see so many of you here, my name is Marie and I am the creator of The Beautiful Bear which is a nature school, parent village & soon to be postnatal space & very much somewhere for you to soak up lots wild wisdom ✨

A few facts about me:

🌿Nature has been my whole life, raised, lived and worked within it for my whole 40 years. Understanding nature is very much within my soul, my family has worked alongside it for hundreds of years.

🌿I am on my own little mission to connect people and families back to nature, to understand it, to protect it and to knowingly weave it into their everyday with ease.

🌿 I am 100% that person who will stop to rescue a snail on a footpath and say hello to any creature big or small I encounter.

🌿I have worked alongside families and have been teaching in different forms for over 20 years. Helping others where I can brings me joy! ❤️

🌿I LOVE charity shops, carboots, jumble sales and have a slight addiction to Vinted… I especially love it when I find something a little unique.

🌿I have three beautiful children with my hubby, our family is 🇬🇧🇯🇲🇲🇺 and we weave this heritage into our daily life through the joy of music, good food, the love of being outside exploring and sharing our days with friends and family ☀️

🌿I LOVE a garden centre or craft shop potter!

🌿I am dyslexic and the venue is definitely powered by ADHD magic ✨

🌿I LOVE creating and I’m always inspired by nature around me

🌿I LOVE a trinket, collecting nature treasure and learning old stories of things I find.

🌿I LOVE being a mum and supporting other women on their mothering journeys… the ups & the downs, the laughter and the tears. It’s messy and beautiful ❤️

But most of all I LOVE bringing all of my loves together and sharing it with you at The Beautiful Bear ❤️

Yesterday I welcomed the lovely team who run a nursery setting that is flourishing 🌿

Their gorgeous founder was keen for the team to come and have a day soaking up some nature play wisdom and a some time for them to slow down and soak up some nature magic ✨

We looked at creating natural invitations to play, the true value of nature treasure, identifying a whole lot of plants suitable for play and discussed the importance of empathy and wording towards our wild creatures big and small!

We barefoot walked in the woods and tuned into the daily bird song.

We sat in circle sipping nettle tea and sharing their own nature treasures & gorgeous memories.

Lastly to end the day on a snoozy note we relaxed with some drum meditation & needle felted their own little birds 🤩🌿

It was so lovely to meet you all ❤️
