I realised the other day that I rarely speak about the heart of our work at The Arrigo Programme Somerset.
For over twenty years we’ve offered bespoke one-to-one retreats, a deeply held space for reset, healing, and transformation. Often described as life-changing.
Why?
Recently, sitting in a meeting with our practitioners, I was deeply moved to realise many of the team have worked alongside me for fifteen to twenty years. That depth of trust only emerges through years of working, learning, and growing together. The skill, wisdom, and soul they bring is extraordinary.
What happens here is not a collection of treatments. It’s an entirely bespoke journey, up to four sessions a day, woven together with precision and sensitivity around the person before us.
Some guests have likened the depth of the experience to plant medicine journeys. The insights arise naturally, through the body, the nervous system, the carefully held field itself.
What has been held begins to move.
The body softens.
Layers accumulated over decades begin to fall away.
And the healing is not only in the sessions. It’s in the environment itself. The house. The gardens. The fires. The carefully prepared meals. The love woven into the smallest details.
A dedicated team member gently guides each day, so there’s no need to organise or navigate. Everything arrives for you. For a little while, life is holding you rather than you holding life.
And day by day, through conversation, bodywork, silence, tears, laughter, rest, and release — the adaptive self relaxes its grip. The essential self returns.
For over twenty years we’ve had the privilege of accompanying people back towards themselves. Not fixing. Not rescuing. But accompanying.
Soulful midwifery at its finest.
