Message to all students
Over the past few weeks police have been notified of a number of incidents involving a lone male (although with some differing descriptions) approaching females on foot or on public transport in the Solihull area. Officers are investigating if these offences are linked, but it appears the man (or men) involved has tried to engage the young victims in conversation and the offence that follows is inappropriate comment and touching. As the college is located in this area I wanted to remind you to follow some basic safety precautions when travelling to or from the college:
Be vigilant and if possible travel with friends.
Do not engage in conversation with strangers however innocent this may appear.
Do not go with people that you do not know.
Report any suspicious/ inappropriate behaviour to police immediately on 999.

GP Gary Hughes' wife arrested over Feock fatal stabbing
The victim, named locally as 60-year-old Gary Hughes, was found at his home near Feock, Cornwall, shortly after 07:30 GMT.
A 58-year-old woman, believed to be his wife Marion, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder.
She is being treated for non life-threatening injuries and will be interviewed by police later.
The death has shocked neighbours in the hamlet where the couple lived.
Cynthia Vanstone said: "We are shocked because from the outside they seemed a very happy couple."
Dr Hughes was the senior partner at the Clinton Road Surgery in Redruth. The surgery declined to comment on his death.
Neighbour Linda Tayler, who has known Dr Hughes for about 15 years, said: "I have had quite a few social occasions with him.
"He had his 60th birthday at his house. There were about 60 people there - that was a happy occasion.
"My heart goes out to his family. I can't imagine how they must be feeling. I feel so sad for them all.
"The whole neighbourhood is in shock."
