Preparing for Medal Tests in January 2020 and making good progress

New Beginners Dance Class will start on Friday 29th September 2017 at 8.10 pm at Hi-Bri's Dance Studio.
We will start with Waltz and Rock 'n' Roll.

Classes this week will focus on style and remembering routines (even more than usual). Ballroom Dance at Dickens Heath Village Hall this Saturday (16.09.17) for those wanting extra practice.

Enjoyed preparing dancers to take their First Ballroom Medals in Friday's Class (Those who want to, though all the class members are good enough for the medal) It was really rewarding to see their progress.

Tonight the First Class Dancers will be learning some more steps to build up their Cha Cha Cha routine. Advanced Class will develop skills to extend their Waltz to suit different size ballrooms. Its good to see how much everyone is improving.

First Class now have 4 dances, Waltz, Quickstep, Cha Cha Cha and Rumba. We will be consolidating these dances in preparation for a Ballroom Dance on Saturday 15.07.17. Well Done First Class. Advanced Class made good progress in Tango yesterday evening too, so Well Done Advanced Class. Also the value of Dance shoes cannot be over-emphasized 👠

Beginners are making really good progress in Cha Cha Cha, the routine has been sent out and we're ready to start the Waltz this Friday. Advanced Class are developing their Quickstep with some challenging new figures, again picking it up really quickly. We will go through QS this Friday and probably recap Rumba.

We will be going through the Salsa tonight in both the Beginners class and the Advanced class and adding in some new steps. Thought Ed Balls and Katyas Salsa routine on Strictly last Saturday was inspired. Might pinch some of their moves.......or maybe not! Looking forward to Strictly at Blackpool this Saturday.
