✨ An inspiring Early Years & Education student is setting his sights on a career supporting children with hearing loss, drawing on his own lived experience to make a positive difference.
Initially studying his Level 2 Early Years courses at the College’s Woodlands Campus with the vision of becoming a teaching assistant, Shoaib then progressed onto the Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Diploma.
Shoaib has completed 120 hours of work placements: "I want to be a deaf role model for the young children and show them you can do anything and not be held back by your hearing loss. My parents are so proud of what I have achieved, and I can’t wait to share my experience with deaf students.”

🖥️💫 Good luck to our four computing students are gearing up to take part in the regional heats of the WorldSkills Cyber Security competition.
The teams have already progressed through the first stage and are now on the next step towards the WorldSkills tournament being held in Japan in 2028.
Harvey Morse is excited to represent the College in the Cyber Security competition. He comments: “The process so far has been fun as it’s something I really enjoy doing. It’s quite good working as a team as you can break down a big task into a smaller one which makes it more manageable."

🌿Sustainability Saturdays! 🌿
We welcomed Correla Data Services to help out with next steps of our Nature Friendly initiative.
The volunteers, alongside members of the Colleges staff, cleared out areas of leaves and brambles, planted trees, and built bird and bat boxes to be hung in various locations around campus 🌳
