Exciting - Tomorrow is the DISNEY WORKSHOPS

Please remember it is the revised timetable that was emailed out a few weeks ago.
The Pinks - Nursery, PP,Prep , Primary , G1 and G2 are all at the same time.

There is still space on the Junior Workshop and some spaces on the Tap Workshop
The Ballet workshop is FULL

Over the last few weeks, there has been some correspondence sent to me regarding the blue fleeces that some students wear.

To clarify:
These are NOT uniform – there is a Blue, Pink and Burgundy cardigan that all students can wear – this is uniform

The Fleeces only became apparent to cope with the COVID restrictions, and we had to have the windows open – it was COLD

IF a student would like to wear a fleece that is fine BUT IT WILL NEED TO BE THE FOLLOWING to BE COUNTED AS UNIFORM

CHILDREN: Marks and Spencer’s -Good Move -Unisex Fleece Jacker Age 6-16 years
ADULT: Marks and Spencer’s – Good Move – Fleece Jacket

To be worn it must be embroidered. It is currently at a cost of £13.00

Please let me have it and I will take it to be done for you – it normally takes between 2-3 weeks.

If you are waiting for the return of a fleece, please wear a Ballet Cardigan or a Plain White, Pink or Blue T-Shirt. Ideally fitted so we can see hip and waist movement.

It is a Uniform therefore it needs to be Uniformed – not from random places

On a Saturday as ever FULL UNIFORM must be worn ( I am more relaxed in the week )

If anyone would like further information why a uniform in ballet is important, please let me know and I can provide articles.

At Dance School – it does go further down to the shade of lipstick students can wear!

For the Seniors I have a special treat for them .

Isabella Polidori is coming in to teach them Classical Ballet from 14:30-16:00

Isabella was Solihull Young Dancers students from the age of 3 ( our current Nursery class age ) and from the first day I knew she would be a dancer. She has since trained at Bird College in London for 3 years , and has undertaken may dancing roles

There is dancing this Saturday - the last lesson before a week off for half term

And all students can dress up in Halloween Costumes ( as long as they can dance)

No worries if you don't want to dress up , normal dance attire is fine

If it has come undone please retie it , or put a stich in it , or a tiny bit of fabric glue

Wonderful and Fantastic first day back.

It was so brilliant to see so many faces ( and stories from the summer )

We have all had one lesson to get our feet and brains back working - back to it tonight with the 'proper work !'

Its exciting to announce once more that

Izzy and Martha are now formally joining the teaching team at Solihull Young Dancers

They have been with us since they were in the Junior School and are now fully qualified, DBS certified and Insured

So delighted to have them onboard as part of the team
