Tom Collins Drums

Incredible day at yesterday having the opportunity to make my first contribution to this project. So fun to be back in the studio tracking drums for some heavy music after a long hiatus.

I first met Ow way back in circa ‘09 when he recorded and engineered the first EP for the band I was playing in at the time. Ow’s work ethic and dedication to music always really stood out and we worked on an additional two records in the years that followed. I was so proud to see the studio that he has has built since then, a truly awesome sounding space full of some VERY special gear, Ow has earned every single little piece of that place. Well done brother!!

Managed to collect plenty of content to post in the coming weeks but some of the videos will have to wait as the music is still very much under wraps.

I haven’t changed cymbals in nearly 20 years so I spent a long time on this selection, and there are still more to come.
This set of instruments from represents the palette of sounds that I hear in my mind when I’m creating something, they are the perfect vessel for my voice on the instrument.

Each piece in this set is honestly just unbelievable but that 22” Equilibrium ride is a whole different machine….
