Today the children had the opportunity to spend time with our friends beautiful rabbit Luna enjoying a calm, hands-on experience that encouraged kindness, patience and respect for animals.

These moments are about so much more than cuddles. Caring for animals helps children to:

Every area in my playroom has been thoughtfully planned to encourage curiosity, creativity, and independence. From open-ended resources to cosy reading corners, children are free to explore, play, and learn at their own pace.

My aim is always to provide a calm, nurturing home-from-home environment where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn.

One of the simplest ways to support your child’s development is by giving them a little extra time to try things for themselves.

Whether it’s putting on their shoes, tidying away toys or pouring a drink, these everyday moments help build confidence, resilience and independence.

It’s perfectly okay if it takes a little longer. Children learn so much through trying, making mistakes and trying again.

Sometimes, the greatest support we can give is a little patience. 🤍

Hi, I’m Jhoti – the face behind JK Childminding 🤍
I’ve gained some new followers, so I thought I’d introduce myself 💛

I’m a proud mum to two amazing boys, and family has always been at the heart of everything I do.

Before becoming a childminder, I worked in teaching. Although I loved supporting children in the classroom, I knew my passion was in the early years, where I could nurture little ones through those precious first milestones and create a true home-from-home environment.

In 2018, I took the leap and started JK Childminding, and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with the most incredible families who have trusted me with their beautiful babies. Being part of their journeys, watching them grow in confidence, learn new skills and develop their own little personalities is something I’ll never take for granted.

Every cuddle, every first step, every new word and every smile reminds me why I chose this career.

I feel incredibly blessed to do a job that allows me to make a difference in children’s lives while building lasting relationships with their families.

Thank you to every family who has supported and trusted me over the years. It truly means the world, and I can’t wait to welcome many more little faces into the JK Childminding family. 🤍
