Huge thanks to ElevationX (especially Lauren Croll), Millennium Point Trust, the teachers, and all the supporters who helped make this amazing opportunity possible for nearly 700 young people.

🚀 FRONTIER TECH ORGANISATIONS: THIS IS YOUR INVITATION.
📅 1 July | Birmingham
We’re looking for organisations working in AI, cyber, quantum, semiconductors, engineering biology, advanced connectivity and other emerging technologies to help shape the future of TechFirst Youth.
Too many young people don’t see a place for themselves in tech—not because they lack the talent, but because they don’t always see the connection between what they’re learning today and the opportunities available tomorrow.
That’s why we’re bringing together industry, educators and young people to co-design experiences that make frontier technologies more accessible, relatable and inspiring.
At Digital Innovators, we know that success in these industries isn’t just about technical knowledge. It’s also about the skills that help young people turn potential into opportunity:
💡 Critical thinking
🤝 Collaboration
🗣️ Communication
🎯 Problem solving
🌱 Leadership and adaptability
We’re looking for organisations that want to help inspire the next generation, build a stronger future talent pipeline and show young people where these technologies can take them.
The talent is there. Let’s help them see what’s possible.

📢 Calling educators, schools and colleges!
Join us in Birmingham on 22 June to help shape the future of TechFirst Youth and ensure young people have the skills, confidence and opportunities they need to thrive in a digital world.
We’re bringing together education partners to share insights and help design a programme that will inspire the next generation through AI, cyber, advanced connectivity and other emerging technologies.
Because the future of technology is about more than just technical skills. 💡
It’s about creativity, confidence, communication and collaboration — helping young people develop the capabilities they’ll need for the jobs and opportunities of tomorrow.
As Iain Green, Headteacher at Rugby Free School, says:
“Giving students the chance to build confidence with technologies like AI and cyber, while understanding how these skills apply across different careers, will make a real difference in helping them see what’s possible for their future.”
If you’re passionate about preparing young people for the opportunities of tomorrow, we’d love to hear from you.

Together, we can create more opportunities for young people to build confidence, develop future-ready skills and realise their potential. 🌟

As TechFirst Youth Delivery Partners, we’ll help young people aged 11–18 explore frontier technologies including AI, cyber, quantum, engineering biology, semiconductors and advanced connectivity technologies through hands-on learning and real-world employer engagement.
From an immersive Frontier Tech Lab in Birmingham to a region-wide schools programme, we’re proud to be helping create pathways into the careers of the future.
The future starts here. 🚀
🥳Don’t we all love good news?
👏A huge congratulations to on securing a job!
✅This is exactly why programmes like this exist, and why we do what we do, to see outcomes like this
🗣️ POST-PRESENTATION FEEDBACK
Hear the reflections and lessons learned from one of our teams as they collaborated to develop their solution to the Intercity challenge.
Made up of a Deaf team member, a hard-of-hearing teammate, and hearing teammates, this group quickly learned that communication wasn’t something to take for granted — it was something to actively build. Over two weeks, they worked closely with an interpreter and with each other, adapting how they communicated to ensure everyone could contribute meaningfully.
What emerged was more than just a final presentation. It was a powerful example of inclusive communication, empathy, adaptability, and true collaboration in action.
Experiences like this drive our commitment to creating more programmes that foster these essential skills — helping build stronger, more inclusive teams and communities.
