Well done to Michael who has been nominated by the baby team for his amazing support over the last few weeks. Michael covers across all rooms but recently he has spent alot of time within the baby room supporting them as their numbers have increased and they have had a few new starters. one child has taken a shine to michael, and he has been a big support in helping this child settle. He has even been picking up a few makaton signs along the way to support all the young babies.
Well done Michael he will receive a certificate and £10 voucher

Useful to know and great to have some local services back at Solihull site 👍
A brand new £1million Urgent Treatment Centre ( ) in opens its doors today (28 June). Based on the site, it will offer local people a new minor illness and injury service on their doorstep.
Patients will benefit from a newly refurbished and spacious area for consultation and treatment for a range of issues including suspected broken bones, sprains, cuts, stomach pains, rashes, minor burns and more. The UTC cannot treat life-threatening emergencies, such as heart attacks and strokes - the public are advised to call 999 or attend their nearest accident and emergency department in these circumstances.
The new facility will be available for adults and children (1-year-old and over) and can be accessed through contacting NHS111 or by walking-in. There will be a mixture of different clinical professionals delivering the service, including emergency nurse practitioners, GPs and advanced nurse practitioners.
After being delivered on time and on budget, with the building work only starting in January 2023, the UTC was officially handed over by Manton Building Contractors on 23 June 2023.
Since then, staff from University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) and Badger Group have turned the UTC into a fully-functioning clinical space, which will treat hundreds of patients every week. It will offer a ‘one-stop-shop’ for patients who have urgent care needs bringing a range of clinicians under one roof, meaning more treatments, for more patients, delivered more efficiently.
Jonathan Brotherton, Interim Chief Executive at UHB, said: “Today marks a hugely anticipated return of an urgent care service for Solihull and I’d like to thank all the staff who have made the new Solihull Urgent Treatment Centre a reality.
“It’s a fantastic new space and we hope many patients will benefit from the UTC for years to come. UHB has made a clear commitment to invest in the much-loved Solihull Hospital site, with a number of further exciting initiatives happening, including a state-of-art theatre block which is due for completion Spring 2024.”
Dr Waqar Azmi OBE, Chief Executive of Badger Group, said: “We are delighted to have worked with UHB to provide this much needed service where our doctors and advanced nurse practitioners (ANPs) will be at hand to provide consultation and treatment for non-life-threatening illnesses to all patients in Solihull”
Cllr Karen Grinsell, Deputy Leader of Solihull Council and Lead Member for Wellbeing, Skills and Inclusion, said: “Following the temporary closure of the minor injuries unit during the COVID-19 pandemic, I am extremely pleased to see the opening of this new and improved urgent treatment service in Solihull. Solihull Hospital is a much-valued asset to the people of Solihull and it is fantastic to see the investment that is going into the site now, and planned for the future.”
UHB Charity’s Director of Fundraising, Charlotte Schofield added: “We are proud to work with UHB on this project. Kind donations from local businesses have meant we could go ‘above and beyond’ for the UTC waiting area; creating a relaxing and calming environment for children waiting to be seen.”

Sorry its a little late 😉 but we just had to share this shot from our Fathers day celebrations, isn't it great!!
Thankyou so much to all the dads, uncles, grandad's and big brothers who came along and joined in our weekly sports session, needless to say your children loved having you join in the fun at nursery 🥰
At Tender Years we do not move single children up rooms based on their age but instead we group our children carefully according to academic year groupings, this means they remain in consistent groups (with children that become firm friends) as they move on through the nursery, it also ensures we maintain familiar staff teams that care for them and ensures we can plan transitions that everyone is prepared for.
We have some very limited vacancies on just a Monday and a Friday, that are available to start in Sept 2023. The spaces are suitable for little ones with birthdays between 20th June 2022 and 31st Aug 2022. Children would begin at TY joining our baby room and then move onto our tweenies room with their cohort in Jan 2024. Please drop us a message or email [email protected] to check if your child is eligible and if so we can arrange for you to visit. 😊
How fabulous do our new cushions look. Big thankyou to Louise from https://www.astwoodupholstery.co.uk/ just in time to enjoy the summer ☀️ 👌🏽
Today we went litter picking, we stopped and chatted to a lovely lady who came out to say hello and thank us, the children loved her bright red hair and she was a wheelchair user, so it was great for them to meet a real person who was managing a disability, she even sent us a message to say thankyou and said we deserved a high five for our efforts today😀
Learning does not start and end in our classrooms it is everything and anything for our under five's and real experiences out and about in the community compliment the pretend things that we might start teaching about here at nursery ...
If you have community events or things you would like us to support please do get in touch.
We love to sing, we are not too bad at dancing and love nothing better than eating cake. We aren't too good at sitting still just yet though, as we are still only young but we have lots of energy and big smiles that we can bring for free 😀

Rob really does have his work cut out, keeping our carpets clean at nursery. But he is meticulous, trust worthy and reliable in his work. Thankyou Rob for a great service 👌🏽
Our very own Manager, Donna & the pre school team have been nominated to recognise their efforts after a super trip to Wonderland last week.
Our nominee was a parent who says it was a really well organised and planned out trip, staff were so attentive to each child and parent / carer, everyone was included and knew what the plans were next. My little man had the best time alongside his friends the whole day ran smooth from start to finish!
Well done and Thankyou for such an amazing and memorable day.
Did you know Donna started working at TY in May 2000 as an apprentice, so she has been involved in quite a few trips since then, no wonder she's so good at organising them 😉
Donna will receive a certificate and voucher 👏
What a fun filled day we had yesterday, wishing you a great weekend 👑

**Parents notice**
We are receiving an increasing number of enquiries every day and unfortunately we just don’t have vacancies for quite some time now, therefore we are not accepting new applications and due to demand from existing families to increase current sessions and enrol younger siblings we have taken the unusual step of closing our waiting list too. We really are very sorry but we just cannot help everyone. Any changes in our circumstances will be communicated on our page over the summer.

Finally please do let the family information service know if you are unable to find suitable childcare as the local authority has a role to play in ensuring sufficiency of places and with the recent government announcements regarding funding the situation is only going to get worse for parents. 0800 389 8667 Email [email protected]
Are you raising a 'Dav' 👌🏽😊❤️
Thankyou to all our super supportive parents on Friday despite it being very much a case of unpredictable British weather 🤔🙄
Sept 2023 all the way through until Aug 2024 is very nearly fully booked, with only limited availability remaining so we will be suspending our 'open door show around policy' from the end of March, as we just cant accommodate any more children 🙁 we will still take applications for our waiting list and be in touch should a suitable place arise 🤞You may like to email us for more info at [email protected]
