Some people step forward exactly when they are needed most — and that is precisely what Sara Shepherd from Theatretrain Solihull and Emma Pryke from Theatretrain Sudbury & Bury did.

When support was urgently needed at short notice, Sara and Emma took on the huge responsibility of coordinating the chaperoning and backstage operations for Theatretrain’s production of The Best Day of My Life at the Royal & Derngate.

Their calmness, professionalism and dedication helped ensure that everything ran smoothly behind the scenes. We genuinely could not have done it without them!

It was therefore a real pleasure to present Sara and Emma with the Lifesaver Award as part of the Theatretrain National Conference Awards.
