9 Years of Dance Bhangra 💜

This week, I am celebrating 9 years of Dance Bhangra, and what a journey it has been 🙌🏽

When I started Dance Bhangra, I simply wanted to share my love for Bhangra. I never imagined it would grow into such an incredible community filled with amazing people, unforgettable memories and so many opportunities.

Over the past nine years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching hundreds of students, performing at countless events, delivering corporate workshops, celebrating special occasions, supporting charities and sharing the joy of Bhangra with people from all walks of life in many different countries.

The thing I’m most proud of isn’t the number of performances or events - it’s the community we’ve built together. Seeing friendships form, confidence grow and people supporting one another inside and outside of class means everything to me.

To every student who has ever come to one of my classes, thank you. Whether you came for one session or have been dancing with me for years, you’ve been part of this journey, and I’m so grateful for your trust, commitment and energy.

To every client and partner who has invited me and my team to perform or deliver workshops, thank you for believing in what we do and for giving us the opportunity to share the energy, culture and joy of Bhangra with your teams, guests and communities.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Dance Bhangra over the years - whether you’ve attended an event, recommended us, shared a post, cheered us on or simply believed in me. Every message, booking and word of encouragement has meant more than you know.

After 18 years of dancing and 9 years of Dance Bhangra, I still love what I do just as much as I did on day one. I can’t wait to see what the future holds, and I’m excited to continue bringing people together through the power of dance.

Our annual Dance Bhangra Academy Summer social was amazing, as always! 💜

We’re so much more than a Bhangra class - we’re a community. The support, encouragement and friendships we’ve built over the years are what make Dance Bhangra so special, both in and outside of classes and performances.

A huge thank you to Soho Tavern Hampton in Arden Soho Tavern for looking after us. The food was incredible and the service was amazing. We can’t wait to be back again soon! 🙌🏽

Another fantastic event celebrating South Asian Heritage Month (By South Asian Heritage Trust) - this time with Gowling WLG UK 🙌🏽

We had a wonderful time sharing the history and cultural significance of Bhangra, performing one of our favourite medleys, and finishing with an interactive workshop.

It was great to see people learning more about the dance and having a few volunteers join in and give it a go. Every opportunity to share our culture and passion for Bhangra is one we truly appreciate 💜
